Strengths: aero, rotating weight, looks, companyWeaknesses: truingBottom Line: these weigh about the same as my training/used for racing cause it's all i had mavic open pro/600 hubs wheels but are way better aerodynamicly and have less rotating weight they have old campy record hubs which i respaced the cassette for shimano for. if built with lighter hubs they'd rank right up there. but at the bargain i paid i gota' good deal. oh i also fabricated a socket to true them with by grinding down a regular socket till it fit through the rim hole

Strengths: aero, looksWeaknesses: come out of true easy, weightBottom Line: these wheels do not weigh 1690 (clincher), hed must have lied cause they are more. after one race on a course that was somewhat bumpy they came out of true. these wheels are not every day wheels and wont hold up like training wheels
(open pro, 32 spoke 14g) they look really cool and are best suited for rolling road races that are on good roads.

Strengths: Light, aero, semi deep section rim which is not affected by cross winds so it is well suited to crits and road races, but is slick enough for time trials. I found the wheels to hold shape very well and had a lively feel. The braking surface is aluminum which is superior to the Zipps for frequent stopping during racing situations.Weaknesses: More spokes than several of todays top wheels, but probably a stronger wheel. You have to remove the tires for truing which is less than ideal.Bottom Line: Not seen on the market much anymore but they should be. The deeper section wheels Hed puts out are not as usefull in every situation as this wheelset. If you just want one set of racing wheels for almost every kind of race, these would be a good choice.
