Summary: Love these wheels. They have been my main wheels over the past few years for training. Race wheels came an went but man, these wheels are still going. Rebuilt recently with Open Pro CD rims and put new bearings in (ceramic) even though they werent needed. 30,000 miles and still going, who could ask for more?
Strengths: 32 holes, Mavic build/rims. Just a solid robust wheel for everyday use. Plus Mavic still stocks parts for them

Summary: Rock solid wheels that look good and just go and go. Over 20,000kms on these wheels and just one true required after a big crash. Never had them overhauled but will do so very soon. Braking v good. They look good too. Mavic calls them touring wheels, but I am unsure if I'd use them on a monthlong camping trip in Europe - perhaps they mean sport-touring ie audaxing.
Strengths: Strength and reliability.
Weaknesses: Not really race-light. Never seen (luckily never needed) a spare spoke.

Summary: Pre-built alternative to standard 3-cross 32-hole handbuilt wheels. Very black. Spoke tension pretty variable on purchase. Detensioned and trued by LBS and now no problems.
Strengths: Smooth hubs, tough under my 215 lbs weight, rim seems slighly small allowing easy install of Michelin tires.
Weaknesses: Black annodizing scratches up on rim and skewers quite easily... pretty minor complaint on the whole

Bike Setup: 10-year-old Bianchi Columbus steel frame, a mix of newer Dura Ace and older Shimano 600. Cinelli bar/stem. Very broken in Selle Italia Turbo saddle.
Summary: I'm a big guy, 6'3", 200 lbs, who's managed to bend a few axles over the years. Straight-pull spokes have changed my life, as bent ones like DTs invariably broke off at the axles, requiring lots of on-the-road truing. These are a great no-frills wheelset for the rider who needs strength over all else. The only blemish is the above-mentioned weakness.
Strengths: Strong as hell.
Weaknesses: The locking mechanism in the rear hub just gave out on me, requiring a $90 rebuild from Mavic.
Similar Products Used: Several different Mavic rims on old Campy HF hubs.
