Selle Itala SLR C64 saddle and various wheels Summary: I picked up these wheels 6 weeks ago just as I began my base phase for next season so I've put some miles on them already. At just over 1,000 miles these wheels have stayed perfectly true despite my 180LB frame. I chose these wheels because for their reputation as a bomb-proof wheelset rugged enough for training and aero for racing. I am also a powertap addict so these wheels filled that desire as well. Another great feature of these wheels are the drainage holes in the aerodynamic fairing. This prevents water from running down the spokes and filling up the wheel with water while riding in the rain. These holes have no effect on durability because the fairing does not provide any structural support to the wheel. Strengths: Aerodynamic, you can really feel the benefits at 20mph and above. These wheels descend fast, on my regular ride there is a 1 mile descent, and while coasting I see a 5mph increase over my standard box section rims. Rugged as all get out! I ride some nasty roads and they are great Weaknesses: Heavy, but I wanted a wheelset I could beat on daily, so I am more than willing to make the sacrifice.
