5/5 (1 Reviews)
MSRP : $799.90

Product Description

Mavic's popular mid-priced Ksyrium Elite is better than ever. This new design has been updated with an even lighter rim construction and integrated tire technology for outstanding performance that won't leave you too light in the wallet. By integrating a specific tire to each wheel Mavic can better control how the stresses from the tire affect the rim and wheel and thus how the wheel performs overall. As an added plus the integration provides a consistent graphical approach to your tires and wheels.

Weaknesses:    Not the most aero, harsh ride, Price

Bottom Line:
These wheels are simply amazing. First, okay, I'll admit, they are a little expensive - but you get what you pay for. I have had these wheels for a year and put 10,000 miles on them, on bumpy roads and can say they perform well. They are light, accelerate well, and look cool too. But the best thing is that with Mavic you get wheels that can take extreme abuse without worrying about breaking them or even truing them. Also, the finish is much better than the off brands. With the wheels that are made by off brand companies, you get a wheel at a lower price and at the same weight that tends to chip around the rim, get scuffed and will warp within a year or less. So save yourself the money and frustration and get a set of Mavics.

I'm having a hard time figuring out what the differences are. Are they both still in production? Is the S r ... Read More »

I thought the Mavics would be stronger due to their reputation, but I went for a short ride today, and the rear wheel is already out of true. I weigh about 210lbs geared up, and the Mavics have lower sp ... Read More »

Used Ksyrium SL's, new Kysrium Elite's, or something else?

He bought them at a LBS with a good reputation and said he paid $1200 new. As we know, I can also get a new set of Elite's for th ... Read More »
