Mercury Bicycle Company Mercury Disc wheelsets - tubular

4/5 (1 Reviews)

Product Description

The Mercury Disc has been designed with one thing in mind, Speed! Research has shown the Lenticular shape of the Mercury Disc not only reduces the amount of air disturbance, but also calms any of the disturbed air created by the rider/ bike. Have you ever had to leave your Disc at home due to crosswind conditions? You won't if you are riding a Mercury Disc. The shape of our Disc deflects the crosswinds providing you a stable ride in any condition. We have built an incredible performing disc at 1100 grams.

Strengths:    Very low rolling resistance, easy to maintain, plus it makes a very ominous noise as you role past the competition. It was not affected by cross winds that were reasonable (less than 30 mph)

Weaknesses:    I have it go out of true on me but sent it back no questions asked and it was fixed promptly.
Same as with any disc finding a pump head to fit into the small hole in the disc

Bottom Line:
I love this wheel, it is a great option for a disc wheel without breaking the bank, say for a Zipp sub-9. Very low rolling resistance, easy to maintain, plus it makes a very ominous noise as you role past the competition. It was not affected by cross winds that were reasonable (less than 30 mph)
