at Neuvation Favorite Ride: Donut Run Bike Setup: Fugi Pro carbon, Dura Ace 10 speed along with FSA compact crank with Token ISIS carbon shell, ti axle, ceramic bearing BB. Summary: After talking to others who use Neuvation wheels, I decided to buy the SL3 wheel set. I build wheels, so when I got them out of the box, I checked them for trueness. The rear needed some touch-up due to spoke wind-up, nothing big. I've ridden them now for over 7,000 miles with no problems, just a minor rear truing on the rear. Strengths: The one-cross spoke set-up and the 27mm deep rim makes for a good stiff wheel. I haven't experienced any flex in the cornering. They come with spare spokes though I haven't broken any. For the money, good wheel set. Weaknesses: Ugly decals Similar Products Used: Shimano, K's, Heliums, Easton Ascents and Circuits, Campy Protons

at internet Favorite Ride: dounut Bike Setup: litespeed Summary: front wheel had been great and true since i bought it, the rear is another matter.
first the spokes rubbed making a squeak every turn of the crank. then the free hub failed ruining a cassette and two different chains, the owner sent me another but that failed mid ride and i had to get a near $100 ride taxi home.
now the spokes have ripped through the rim in four different places making it unridable Strengths: cheap Weaknesses: cheap after 5000 miles its ruined Similar Products Used: mavic, shimano, campagnolo

at Neuvation Website Favorite Ride: Any Bike Setup: 2001 Airborne Valkyrie (23,300 miles) 10 speed Dura Ace group, Thompson seat post, Deda Newton stem, Neuvation S1 Saddle, Profile Design carbon fork, Ritchey bars. Summary: I bought these at the first of the year to replace my one year old, rim split Dura 7801 wheelset. The Neuvation wheels are light and strong. Also, they don't flex into the brake pads like other wheels in this weight category. After 3000 miles and more beat up roads than I care to count, my R28 SL3's are still true and smooth. I bought the black rims and even left the decals on. Do not be a fool and snub Neuvation for a more high profile name brand. The SL's will take what you throw at them and reward you with confidence and performance. Finally, the customer service from John is second to none. This is a company you want to do business with. I liked the wheels so much I also bought a saddle from Neuvation a couple of months ago. I like it as well. Strengths: Strength, durability, light weight, good looks, smooth ride, no flex, and price price price! Weaknesses: Some say they don't like all the decals. Similar Products Used: Mavic/Wheelsmith CPX21, Shimano Dura Ace 7801

at Neuvation website Bike Setup: Specialized Sworks Tarmac w/ Dura Ace 10spd Summary: I own two sets of these wheels (SL3 and SL4). I don't think anyone can find better training wheels as these things are bomber. I occasionally race with them when the roads are horrible and I'm always shocked when I check them out afterwards and they are still perfectly true. I average around 250 miles a week and have never trued these--however I'm a 145lb climber, so your mileage may vary. Strengths: Decent weight
Bomber construction
Price is impossible to beat for the value Weaknesses: Had to use a blow dryer to remove almost all of the decals (decal overkill) Similar Products Used: Spinergy Xaero (crappy)
American Classic 420

at Neuvation Web Sit2 Favorite Ride: Tiburon Loop Bike Setup: Cannondale Synapse (Carbon), Ultegra, Neuvation. Summary: Okay, so this time I've waited for over a year to rate a set of clincher wheels. Last time, I owned a pair of ROL's and I couldn't wait to let everyone know how terrific they were. Of coarse, right after writing this, things started to fall apart (hubs and front wheel loose, etc...).
The first impression you'll get it the incredible lightness of these wheels. They just don't get much lighter than this with out spending a ton of money. The second thing you'll notice is the suppleness of the ride. They are stiff, but not too much, so you'll actually be able to feel your back side by the end of 40 miler. Finally, you'll find out that the wheels rarely need to be trued. They're strong wheels. Probbly not as strong as the M Series, but still very strong.
Final Note: get the ceramic bearings. I've tried these with and without the ceramics, and it makes a difference. They roll, and roll, and roll... Strengths: durable and light weight Weaknesses: none yet ;-) Similar Products Used: ROL's S-28, Mavic Open Pro, Shimano 550
