at Canyon Bicycles (Sal Favorite Ride: Logan to Jackson Bike Setup: Seven Odonota with seven fork and seven titanium stem. Full Campy Record with Reynolds bars and Speedplay pedals. Reynolds stratus wheels Summary: This is an incredible wheelset. Light, fast, stiff. I notice the speed mostly on the flats and descents and they are a full pound lighter than my Mavic Ksyriums. I am now using them as my all around wheel. Not a millimeter out of true and I weigh 205. I did have them laced with 20 front/24 back spoke count instead of the standard 16/20. Strengths: Light, fast, stiff. Notice speed most on downhills and flats. Weaknesses: price Similar Products Used: Rolf

at eBay Bike Setup: Orbea Orca
Dura Ace Summary: I can't say enough good things about these wheels. I found mine new on eBay for a deal. They are smoother and faster than anything I've ridden. The craftsmanship is excellent. I've never tried tubular wheels before, and WOW do they feel different. Yes, you can feel the difference in the ride. This is true even with your tires pumped to 140 psi. I'll post another review after 6 - 9 months to update you on the fatigue life of the wheels. Strengths: Smooth
Fast
LIGHT!
Tubies! Weaknesses: None Similar Products Used: Real Design Supersonics

at RRR Favorite Ride: Anything that's not flat Bike Setup: lapierre 2003 scandium FDJeux team frame, easton slx fork, syntace f99 stem, d/a shifters, vuelta xrp cassette, vuelta xrp chain, profile elite carbon compact cranks, d/a bb, d/a front der, tuned d/a rear der, xero gravity ti brakes, forte saddle (soon to be replaced w/ magma mgc), easton ec90 seatpost (m2racer collar), token cf bottle cages Summary: So here I am 2 yrs later and I still ride the same wheels- not w/out some issues-- After I managed to get a screw thru my rear rim- reynolds rebuilt the wheel for $325. They were quick and I was happy. 1 month later a spoke broke on that rear wheel- drive side. They fixed it no charge- by the time I got it back it was late fall and I didnt bother using the tubulars until the spring. Spring came- 1 month of riding and same spoke breaks-- reynolds pays for shipping both ways and fixes it for free, but it takes 3 weeks to get it taken care of. This time they got it right- no problems since- mine were an earlier set- apparently there were problems w/ the angle of the spoke in the rim on the drive side of the rear wheel- they seem to have fixed it as it's been over a year now w/out a problem-- other than the mysterious clunking I got at speed. Turns out that was the valvestems hitting the side of the rim- easily fixed.
I'd have no problem recommending these wheels as long as they're a year old or younger. Try using yellow swissstop brake pads w/ them- they work better than anything else I've tried. Strengths: Light, strong, reliable (NOW THEY ARE) Weaknesses: Took a while to get it right Similar Products Used: nothing like these

at eeeeeebay Favorite Ride: rI loop--wakefield Bike Setup: were on c 40, now on amazing ridley damocles. DA cranks, brakes, etc. Record shifting. s-works bars. Best bike I ever rode. I feel so lucky its in my life. Summary: great wheels. climb and accelerate noticeably better than regular wheels. I bought on ebay, but carbon breaks in the mail, bite the bullet and buy them from local bike shop. when they are out of business, who will fix your derailleur, not ebay. I am done with ebay.
you will love these wheels, they rock. and you can ride them everyday. dont save them..life is too short. Strengths: fast fast light look cool. proprietary carbon curing process from LEW/Maclean to reynolds really is better Weaknesses: dont break them.
tubulars? Similar Products Used: ksyriums, neucleons. race x-lite, all regular wheels.

Price Paid:
$0.00 Favorite Ride: Anything not flat Bike Setup: Wilier. Campy stuff all over. Summary: Bought these after watching people break their other deep section carbon rims beginning with "Z" and ending with "ipp" in every race so far this year.
Glued these up and raced them twice last weekend. FIrst race was a kermese I wanted to use as a little speed workout. Barely had to work. Next day did a TT and garnered a personal best. Definitely not me. Definitely the wheels.
I'll post an update after racing them a dozen or so more times. Strengths: Stiff, roll smooth, accelerate well, maintain speed like a perpetual motion device, and corner dangerously well Weaknesses: I hear tell that the hub bearings from reynolds are a bit stiff and need to be broken in a bit. Not really a weakness... I just get to ride them on my training rides as well. Similar Products Used: Campy Proton
