Strengths:    Lightweight for the amount of rim, very stiff, but incredibly smooth and forgiving over rough chip seal. Still true. Very responsive, even climbing. Braking has been surprisingly confident on some tricky switchback descents. I've not tried them when wet. Although Reynolds now use DT Swiss hubs, the White Industries hubs in these seem to roll quite well. The bearings also have an adjustable preload.

Weaknesses:    If they need to be trued, it can be tricky since the spoke nipples are hidden within the rim and require a special wrench.

Bottom Line:
So far these have been incredible to ride on! I ditched my previous set of clinchers for these and have never looked back. They are really light, but still have a deep enough profile for an aero advantage. I've hit a few potholes and regularly cross railroad tracks. I was careful with them at first, having never owned a carbon rim before, but they are very strong. No rider weight limit, though I'm on the lighter side. They are an aero rim that can climb.

Strengths:    Light, fast, perfect "deepness" for all around aero use. Craftmenship is awesome. Braking is fine and actually more predictable than my D/A wheels with the stock D/A brake pads. About 600 miles on them so far and they are perfectly straight. Tech support from reynolds is very cool. Just give them an email or call with any question.

Weaknesses:    None

Bottom Line:
These wheels are great! I was going for the regular DVs but my guy at my LBS gave me such a good deal and ordered the DV-ULs knowing I would appreciate the lighter wheels. Anyhow, this is my 1st set of tubies and I opted to try the Tufo S3 Lites and the Tufo tape system and gel. I love the whole set up. I weigh about 160 and feel real confident and fast on these wheels. They are strong, and no doubt fast and oh by the way very light. I notice I just drift a little better then ever out on my group rides and when I spin them up over 25mph I just fly better than ever. I can't say enough about how good they feel at top speeds. Laid down one of my best times on a local 7 minues TT hill climb that I train on. I'm sure the wheels helped. I also love the transition to the tufo tubulars as this is my 1st expericence with tubies. I run them at about 150 lbs and find I'm just down right moving fast. Anyhow, right now I'm not racing them in my local crits as I want to save them from the potential ultimate abuse, rather I do some critical solo and group interval training on them. I also plan on building a TT frame for these baby's and rumor has it, Reynolds will have a full disk out for next spring. That with the DV-UL front is what I'm shooting for.

Bottom line, the wheels are fast, stiff, no major problems in cross wind as they are not too deep, these things are the best all around wheels hands down. They also look mean as heck as they are flat black with yellow labels and my Specialized frame is flat black carbon. Bike looks stealty.
