Price Paid:  $760.00 at Gotta Ride Bikes

Bike Setup:
Quattro Assi SSS, SRAM Red/Force, Veloflex tires

Summary:
Searching for the Holy Grail of wheelsets, I think I've come pretty close with these Vigor SL's. Reasonably light at 1450g, they are also stable, compliant and aero. I set a TT PR on these (preveious best on same course with Spinergy FCT's). Recently in the Furnace Creek 508 the Vigor SL's really proved their worth. The course is notorious for lots of miles of rough roads (tar strips cast shadows), yet the Vigors produced a much more comfortable ride than I had last year. Stable, as well, as evidenced by two descents at over 50mph with cross winds of 20+mph and I'm here to write about it.

Strengths:
compliant, durable, light, aero

Weaknesses:
none

Price Paid:  $760.00 at gottaridebikes

Bike Setup:
Quattro Assi SSS, SRAM Red/Force

Summary:
Seeking the Holy Grail of wheelsets, I think I've come pretty close with the Rolf Vigor SL's. They are reasonably light at 1450g. Solid on fast, twisty descents. At the recent Furnace Creek 508 I hit 50+mph on two descents with cross winds over 20mph and am here to write about it. During the course of this race the wheels saw ruts, ridges, rocks, potholes (craters), etc and handled it all. Having ridden the race before, the Vigor SL's were amazingly smoother over the rough stuff.
No, I'm not getting paid for this. They do have a rider weight limit of 160 but offer similar Vigor (190) and Vigor RS (230).

Strengths:
Smooth, stable, durable and apparently quite aero as I also set my TT PR with these wheels (previously set using Spinergy FCT's). Good response from people at Rolf.

Weaknesses:
none
