Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
i've had these wheels for two years now and race and train regularly on them almost every day over bumpy roads,i've done about 8000 miles on them so far and won 13 races, they are very light and responsive, however the tyers are horrendous to put on as the rim seems too big, i've nipped countless tubes with the tyer leavers because of this,i'm now going to buy mavic es to replace these wheels.

Strengths:
light strong , very smooth hubs

Weaknesses:
tyers far too difficult to stretch over rim

Price Paid:  $800.00 at LBS

Favorite Ride:
downhill with the wind

Bike Setup:
Specialized Allez Comp

Summary:
I bought these as a race wheel after considering the Kysrium SSC-SL. While a very good wheelset, they did not fit my style of riding. Let's just say I now own the Mavic's and sold these.

My problem with the wheels started about 3 months ago when the rim cracked. After having it re-built twice, I just could not keep them in true. The hubs are smooth, I loved the aero aspect, they can be repaired with any ordinary spoke and can be tensioned to customize the performance. I am a big guy (6'2" and 225 lbs.) and like a stiff wheel. To get them to ride how I liked, the spokes had to really be tensioned up. I think that took a toll on the wheels.

At any rate, for a smaller rider who wants great aerodynamics with a comfortable ride, these are great. They are reasonably light, the hubs are VERY smooth, they would be great for touring or entry level racers because they are comfortable and quick.

A very nice set of wheels but just not right for me.

Strengths:
smooth hubs, easy repairs, "tune your ride" with tension, very cool looking, unlike many aero wheels these are not hard to handle in a cross-wind

Weaknesses:
just not stiff enough for bigger riders, make sure you have a good mechanic on any low spoke count wheelset

Favorite Ride:
the one i am on, and the next ride i am about to do

Bike Setup:
GT/ultegra componentry

Summary:
got a great deal on ebay, thought i would try them out. have not been let down. excellent wheelset. relatively light, well built, good craftsmanship. worried about the number of spokes and how they would tolerate the stress of hammering on the climbs and sprints and the road hazards (ie holes, bumps, and debris). handled all very well. immediate difference w/riding much smoother than anticipated, stiff, but not excessively. responds well. quick acceleration. may be some merit to having the weight centered around the hub. will let you know how they do after a couple thousand miles.

Strengths:
light, smooth ride.... using with specialized mondo pro tires. nice looking, gives an appearance of a sleek and fast wheelset. which they appear to be so far.

Weaknesses:
cannot tell you any just yet, let you know after couple thousand miles.
