Summary: I have used many wheelsets always searching for the ultimate wheel for the right application. As everyone knows there is no one wheelset does it all but if I had to choose from my quiver these would be my first pick! This is not my first set of Shimano wheels and the first thing i did was regrease with Campag grease and reset cone tightness. Someone needs to teach the Shimano team not to overtighten there wheel bearing set up. Anyway after the compulsory reset on my work bench i was ready to ride them. These wheels are as stiff as my Fulcrum 1's and far far more compliant in the ride, more aero on the spokes and as better on the rim balance. Shimano hubs need a bit of time to run in but early indications are good. They run smooth and free but not quite as good yet as my Fulcrum hubs but these have done 10,000 kms. The biggest difference I noticed on these wheels was they are very stiff descending anfd track very well into tight bends at speed. Finish is supurb and the look great and not over the top on my BMC SLT 01! IMHO these are the BEST value period for a fast and light clincher. Oh one last thing climbing on these wheels is unbelivable with no flex and very light rim weight. Most of the wheel weigh is in the hub where it should be. Actual weight wo skewers 1410 gm.
Strengths: Light
Stiff
Compliant ride
Climb awesome
Desend awesome
Aero for a clincher rim
Look classy
Beautiful hubs
Easy to maintain
Quiet freehub
Weaknesses: Freehub has more drag than any of my other wheelsets
Carbon rim may be open to damage more easily than traditional rim but I dont care!

Well, this is my first review, and after my fulcrum R7, it's been so enjoyable that the hubs are so smooth and noiseless.
Weight tested is 1450 g.
On the first climb (grand ballon +1050 m)I could feel it was much easier and reached the top with 34x19-18 all along.
Downhill, it's a dream. No noise and the sensation you can speed up indefinitely. On flat sections, the wheels are quite aero. Once you reach 35 km/h, it's really impressive.
Strengths: Light enough, stiff (83 kg and no problem), noiseless, noiseless, noiseless!
Weaknesses: none so far

Bike Setup: Cervelo RS w/ Sram Red group and 3T Cockpit. Dura-Ace pedals and now wheels.
Summary: I have about 600 miles on these wheels. So far, I'm very impressed. I had my brakes adjusted for the narrower Mavic Kysirum ES wheels so when I stood up, they wouldn't rub. These wheels are wider but they still don't rub with no adjustment. They soak up the chip seal here in Texas better than any wheel I've ever owned and the aluminum braking surface is excellent. I can run the tires with 130 lbs and they still feel smother than the Mavics. The cassette hub is so quiet I'm sneaking up on wildlife like never before. Build quality is excellent. Very nice wheels.
Strengths: Stiff without being harsh. Quiet! Aero
Weaknesses: Like others have mentioned, the skewers are very nice but they weigh a ton.

Bike Setup: Giacomelli Titanios (titanium frame)
Kinesis Attack fork
Full Dura Ace group
FSA Mega Exo Ceramic bottom bracket
Shimano 7850 C24 CL wheels
Continental GP4000 tyres
Summary: I purchased this wheelset as an upgrade for my Easton Circuit wheels. The circuit wheels were absolutely bomb-proof, stiff enough and they roll nicely. But the circuit wheels weren't performing at the same level of the Ksyrium SL wheels that I had before the Circuits. So I wanted again light wheels, stiff and with great hubs. Mavic was not an option for me since I heard some recent quality issues. My attention was caught by the Shimano 7850 C24 clincher wheels (light, stiff, great hubs and very positive reviews)
The Shimano 7850 C24 wheels perform excellent. I did 183 km on these wheels yet. They are stiff, light, have a very fast acceleration, they roll butterly smooth and they have an aerodynamic feeling.
I'm very pleased with this wheelset and I recommend them to any one of you who wants low rim wheels and great performance.
Strengths: Lightness (1390 grams)
Very smooth hubs
Aerodynamic spokes
Carbon/alu laminate rims (both stiffness and comfort, more stiff than my Ksyrium SL's and Easton Circuits)
High tech building methods and used materials (titanium freehub body,...)
Weaknesses: The Dura Ace quick releases are quite heavy compared to other lightweight quick releases (KCNC, Tune,...) and since the wheels are very light, I recommend using a set of lightweight quick releases
