MSRP : $750.00

Product Description

The Shimano WH-6800 Ultegra Wheelset was announced in the wake of the enormous success of its predecessor, the 11 Speed Dura Ace 9000, and lives up to that name. More affordable but sacrificing none of what made its bigger brother so well- loved, this rig

Strengths:    Fantastic paper weight or wall ornament

Weaknesses:    Weakness

Bottom Line:
Rear wheel flew apart like a candy cigar after 3 rides. Mostly garbage components and "tubeless" is pretty much a joke. These's a reason these have not caught on. "Road tubeless" is a desperate attempt by marketers to grab the usual suckers and MTB weenies that cross over to road cycling as a passing fancy. Get some regular wheels from Zipp or Mavic, mount some normal high-quality clinchers inflated to proper pressure, ride, and enjoy. A flat tire every 3000 miles or so ain't worth the hassle of tubeless tires that take 400 steps and 8000 special tools to mount (I mean, who the #*&% has an air compressor lying around?). Plus, just try doing a field repair on one of these tubeless set are looking at an hour+ or, more likely, a walk home or a shameful phone call to have someone retrieve you. If you are a nitwit that just has to try things for yourself, at least stay away from any wheels from the fishing reel manufacturer.

Strengths:    Quality product, with reasonable weight for the price. 9, 10 and 11 speed compatible. Tubeless ready out of the box.

Weaknesses:    None so far.

Bottom Line:
Purchased as a replacement wheelset for my summer bike, matched with Schwalbe One tubeless tyres. No problems getting the tyres on (Schwalbe lube used) and inflated first time with a track pump. Nice smooth rim bed so tape not needed if an inner tube is used.
Wheels roll well and feel great on rough surfaces with the Schwalbe tyres. No problems so far.
