    Strengths:    Faster than expected.
    Great acceleration.
    Lighter than older Ultegra versions.
    Straight pull bladed spokes.
    Dura Ace Trickle down technology.
    Strong and durable.

Weaknesses:    Hard to find at the LBS.

    Bottom Line:
Shimano Ultegra SL 6600 Ice Grey. I bought these wheels to put on my commuter bike. It already came with an Ultegra drive train, so I thought the wheels would make it complete. The Ice Grey wheels look nice without too much bling. They have a lot of Dura Ace trickle down technology like the bladed spokes and the angled bearings. These are heavier than my Mavic ES wheels on my other bike, but I was surprised by how stiff and fast they felt. The straight spokes are strong, and so far, no need to balance the wheel. These make a nice fast wheel at a reasonable entry price.

Strengths:    - Gets to speed quicker than stock RS10's
    - Truer ride
    - Handles well

Weaknesses:    I wish Shimano would classify their wheel sets better. Are these as good as RS 30's?

    Bottom Line:
I decided to upgrade from the Shimano RS10's that was on my bike when i purchased it. The bike store let me upgrade after riding on the RS10's for almost 30 days. I made the switch since I had Ultegra componants and this would give me full Ultegra, and I wanted a little better wheelset. Well this was a great move; while only about a 1 pound difference in weight, I feel these wheels get to speed much faster than the RS10's and rides a truer. I also have noticed significantly less noise with the switch. They are not close to carbon and not superfast, but for a rider like me they are grea. I probably am never going to make the switch to carbon wheels (or even change this wheelset for that matter); these wheels are great.
