Price Paid:  $0.00

Bike Setup:
Kuota Kredo with full Dura Ace, FSA compact crank, Time carbon pedals, Topolino wheels

Summary:
My topolino wheels are a joke. Like so many other people I had a hub break (both sides, front) . I am extremely light (135 lbs.) and so is my Kuota bike. I am very careful when I ride so there is absolutely no reason for this hub failure other than the fact that these wheels are inferior. I will admit that they are quick and look way cool, but that does not make up for the fact that my hub should have never failed. I had been riding for 30 years and have never had a wheel fail or even broken a spoke before now. When I purchased my Kuota I fell for my dealers line of bull that these wheels were bulletproof when I upgraded what came on the bike. Topolino had my wheel for 2 months and charged me $150 to fix it. My dealer tried to tell me that the wheel failed because of the way my bike is transported. Thule rack where the front wheel stays on the bike. What a joke! Wheels that are this expensive should not fail under a flyweight careful rider like me.

Strengths:
Look way cool Quick Smooth over choppy roads

Weaknesses:
Inferior hubs Terrible customer service Expensive when they fail

Price Paid:  $0.00

Favorite Ride:
out in the country 35-50

Bike Setup:
Look, Campy, Speedplay, Fizik, Vittoria, ITM

Summary:
I'm a recreational rider and go 75-150 miles a week in the summer. All on smooth roads. These wheels suffer what many others are reporting. Loose rear hubs. Went through my local LBS that is an "authorized dealer". They had to send it into Topolino. Topo says that the hub is cracked and wants to "sell" me a rear wheel for $490.00. A real disappointment considering companies like Zipp simply replace a wheel like this for no charge. Too bad considering I enjoyed them while they worked. I really question the quality control. Customer service offered no real help.

Strengths:
Light. Nice when they work

Weaknesses:
Poor customer service experience. Not able to back their wheels like other companies do.

Favorite Ride:
Dutch Flat ca. 95714

Bike Setup:
Look 585 all dura ace sub 15lb I ride up to 13000 miles a year looking for new wheels with a Dure Ace hub and going carbon coustom wheels clincher

Summary:
I see the reviews but I don't beleave them!
My wheels sucked! Them tuned on the break
and wore it out! And vary slow rollers!
The hub is the worst on the market! It came lose all the time that is why the were on the break
they did not zipp my forward when I hit the pettle hard like my Campy Stuf did? When I spun them up
they just slowed down not holding speed at all!
Barring all the time clack-a-d-clack-clack-clack
Did I say the hub sucked? I had been putting140
psi to make them stiffer! Let me tell you if there that Smoth on the road there not stiff at all!

I had the so out of shape on one down hill I thought they were going to come apart! At 40 mph not a fun feeling! Good going down hill not even close!
I will not buy another pair! Ever

Strengths:
Light sub 1400G look nice C-19 wheels

Weaknesses:
I have broken every thing! These too! The hubs
spokes flex a lot and get blowen around in the wind a lot going fast down hill is no fun on these

Price Paid:  $850.00 at LBS

Favorite Ride:
San Francisco to Santa Monica

Bike Setup:
Serotta Nove, Campy Record Group

Summary:
I've gor 4,000+ miles on the first generation C-19's. These wheels were a vast improvement over the Campy Eurus. They are very comfortable, and extremely stable on technical descents. I would like to give them a 5 but I just found a crack in the rear hub. Apparently the new generation wheels incorporate a stronger hub system.

Strengths:
Lightweight, great for climbing and descending, very comfortable, easy to change a flat tire.

Weaknesses:
Not very Aero, the bearings not the most durable (I've gone through two sets on the rear hub in 4,000 plus miles). If you break a spoke, you will need to replace the entire half of the wheel.

Price Paid:  $700.00 at Bike Store

Favorite Ride:
Boy Scout Hill Route

Bike Setup:
Litespeed Ultimate

Summary:
Bulletproof! At 6'3" and 205lbs I was looking for the lightest wheelset that would hold up. This is the one. Wheel stay true and rolls very well. I broke one spoke nipple when making a minor adjustment. No problem, I just put a new one on and I was good. Recommend that you oil the nipples once per year to avoid dissimilar metal corrosion at the nipples. I love them!

Strengths:
Strong, light, cool factor, ride quality

Weaknesses:
Contacting Topolino is difficult, they have wierd business hours.
