Price Paid:  $219.00 at Bike Island

Favorite Ride:
All

Bike Setup:
Mishmash Dura Ace 7700-7800, Sugino 50/36
Crank,Sella Italia SLR, Tekro R730 brakes, FSA compact drop bar,Profile H2O stem,Sette CF seatpost, Specialized Nimbus 28c tires. The only stock item on the bike is the fork.

Summary:
Bought Vuelta XRP Superlight Pro at Bikeisland.com.I think its the same as the Corsa Superlight but labled XRP (Xtreme Racing Products).Same stated weight ect. Look killer! The truest wheels I've ever seen out of the box!
way lighter than the WH500 that came with my Motobecane Cafe Noir, and stiff as as a cold slap in the face. Shocking difference, 14 oz lighter, quick spin-up,
no deflection I can detect, and I weigh 220! Buy these you won't reget it.

Strengths:
Stiff as all get-out,incredibly light for the price. Nice looking hubs-very smooth rolling so far 200+ miles.

Weaknesses:
Cheesy looking stickers. peel them if you want, they will be even lighter if you do! Pawls a bit noisy, I think because of the bladed spokes.( they act like a loudspeaker)

Similar Products Used:
Mavic,Alex,Araya,Schwinn,Shimano- 35+years experience.

Price Paid:  $225.00 at Ebay

Favorite Ride:
Daily Commute in Los Angeles - 42 miles round trip

Bike Setup:
Specialized Dolce Elite stock set up except the Vueltas - I know I'm a guy riding a ladies bike but the deal was too good to pass up.

Summary:
I'm somewhat of a newbie to road biking and was more of a mountain biker for awhile. I think these rims are quite underrated. I originally was looking into purchasing Mavic Ksyriums and Bontrager Race Lites but found them to be a bit too expensive for a beginner rider. If a person wanted to make an easy upgrade but didn't want to spend a lot of money, I would recommend these. They spin up well and maintain speed. I'm not very heavy (155 lbs) so rim flex wasn't an issue for me and shaved 15 minutes off my daily 21 mile commute. I'm not saying I got the deal of the century but I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Strengths:
Lightweight although they're slightly heavier than their claimed weight from another review I read. Looks nice.

Weaknesses:
Stock rim strips. Replace these asap as they don't work well. I got 3 flats without even riding. I put in new strips and no flats since. Knock on wood. The rear rim is a bit loud for my taste.

Bontrager SSR

Price Paid:  $350.00 at Summit Ski and Cycle

Favorite Ride:
along the SB bike path and Palos Verdes

Bike Setup:
Debernardi steel, campy veloce drive train, record brakes, speedplay pedels.
Vuelta Corsa Super Lite wheel set, Conti. 4000s tires.

Summary:
I had a set of Campy Kamshins 1900 grams wheel set on my steely. I was getting killed from stand stills. I can really feel the light weight during take off and downhills. I picked up about 4 mph on the down hills. after two short 20 mile rides, on the MUT and bumpy inner city streets they have held their true.

Strengths:
light weight, and bearing are ultra smooth. better than my Campy Kamshins.

Weaknesses:
only 20 spokes in front and 24 in the rear, but I have not notice any tire deflection nor need for trueing.

Similar Products Used:
Campy Kamshins, and very early tubular wheel sets.
