Strength:

Awesome wheels! A definite step up from my Ksyrium SL's. I'm not a pro cyclist, but I can certainly feel the difference.

Weakness:

Squeeky braking until they are broken in.

Definitely worth it even though they are a bit pricey. They look awesome on almost any bike...great graphics.

Well, here we go, I have just got my new Mavic Cosmic Carbone SL 50 mm
carbone clinchers, (drool drool),pulled them ot of the box, and thought
oh baby these look real juicy, the quality was the next wowzer, well
made and strong looking. drooling time over, time to fit them, pulled
off my Mavic Kysriums SLs(not to be sniffed at wheels) changed the
tyres and cassett, slapped them in the bike (Trek Madone 5.2) stood
back and smiled and smiled and smiled, they looked the F#%¥ biz, with the bike
being White and red decalls and red and black Mich Pros, oh did these
looked real bad boys. Now for the ulimate test, the ride, couldn't
wait to warm up, just floored it, the power from pedal to wheel was
awesome, they rolled with little effort, I was cruising 3 mph faster
than I normally would, and as for as climbing goes for any of you
doubting Thomases out there about the extra weight, I flew up a half
mile hill not a drag a hill at 15 mph that I would normally pedal at
10 mph, ok So I was buzzing with adrenaline and pushed it a bit, but
they really felt like power amps, i rode down the other side of the hill
and just let them roll, usually 35 mph with my Mavic Kysriums, today
38mph, my smile keeps getting wider, now for some flat pedaling,
pealed of the roundabout onto the dual carriage way clicked two gears
and sprinted upto 35 mph, wowzi wowzer, the acceleration was mind
blowing, into the TT position and they were motoring, ok slight tail
wind, but I was sustaining just over 30mph, what a trip , felt like
the man him self(Armstrong of course), oh and the sexy woomph when
your putting the power down, they felt very stiff handled like
Valentino Rossis N1 Yamaha moto GP bike, I got caught in a few blusters of side
wind, no fears of being blown off the bike stuck like the smelly stuff
on a blanket and I'm 62KG. My conclusion how much better does better
get, you can pay upwards of £2000+ for a set of wheels, good if you’ve
got the cash or your a pro, I'm a club rider race every other week,
are you really going to gain any more than these wheels can offer you,
very little I think. So if you've never had deep section carbons
before, like me, then be prepared to be blown away. Still smiling

Strength:

smooth, stiff and aero.

Weakness:

As with any aero wheel, effect from crosswinds (to be expected)

I was very impressed with the smooth factor I experienced with these wheels. They seem to roll forever. Aero is nice I did notice crosswinds more, but not to a point where I did not feel safe.
The wheels feel stiff even out of the saddle climbing.
