Ed Heller from Maui, Hawaii writes:

I just completed my custom Bacchetta Giro and I wanted to share the results. I am car free and use my bent for all my transportation needs. I absolutely MUST have a bike that can accommodate 4 panniers and a cooler for those trips to the grocery store and Costco. I am fortunate to live where it is warm year round, but I do have to contend with nearly constant winds of 20-30mph and thousands of feet of elevation change, so I NEED an 800%+ gear range. Comfort is a big priority as I am on the bike for up to 10 hours a day. I also wanted it to be as reliable as possible with very little maintenance. Weight, speed, and even price were of minor concern.
