Bike Setup:
Fondriest, Campy Record 10

Summary:
I have used my wheelset for nearly 10 years. Yes, that's right 10 years! And not just as race wheel but as primary wheels. I guess I have at least 60,000 miles on them. They have now completely worn out and I'm ready for my next set! These are great wheels and all types of riding.

Strengths:
Great for climbing, descending, racing. Very smooth.

Weaknesses:
I can't think of any... and that's after 10 years riding on them. Perhaps I would have liked to get another year out of them, but that would be pushing it.

Similar Products Used:
Other Campy wheels. Yes, I'm a Campy fan so perhaps there is some bias in this review

Favorite Ride:
Redwood Road

Bike Setup:
Seven Titanium, record 10 spd, Vredestein Tri comps

Summary:
I bought these after much research and consideration of Easton wheels. Have only been out on them twice but I can say unequivocally, they are sweeeeeeet! Climb nice, look nice, not too stiff of a ride. I only had 700x25s to put on them but that doesn't slow them down! Great acceleration!

Strengths:
Climb great, accelerate fantastically!

Weaknesses:
None so far.....

Favorite Ride:
Great Falls, Wash, DC

Bike Setup:
2005 Lemond Sarthe (plat ox), Campy 10speed Veloce / Centaur, Sella Italia SLR, FSA compact crank, FSA bars, Bontrager carbon seat tube.

Summary:
I've got 2008 Eurus, not the "two way." Not running any rim tape. Bought from a race team that used this pair as a back up one season.

These are super strong and stiff, great all around wheels, with incredible hubs. This is my first set of high quality wheels, previously had Easton Vista SLs. Amazing difference. These feel both more aero, and climbing is a different world. They are super stiff, and feel remarkably different than my prior wheels -- at least they transmit the bumps to my bars and saddle much more directly than the Eastons. As someone before mentioned, these hubs are ridiculous. They spin forever, and I'm constantly on riding the breaks when freewheeling decents in my group rides. I've hit a couple nasty potholes to no effect -- still perfectly round and true (after a year as a race wheel, no less). Couldn't be happier.

Strengths:
Stiff, reasonably light for alloy clinchers, hubs are awesome, and they look great, too.

Weaknesses:
I suppose the loud freewheel might bug some people, but I don't mind at all.

Easton Vista SL

Price Paid:  $1200.00 at Norway Nordic

Favorite Ride:
Olmo Aerolite

Bike Setup:
Olmo Carbon Aerolite with Campy Centaur

Summary:
These wheels are absolutely awesome!! After reading many reviews no one emntions the rolling resistance! The hubs coast & coast & coast & coast! The also will accelerate much faster on false flats & downhills than comparable wheelsets. The whole G3 line up is similar !

Strengths:
They are Campy, virtually maintenace free, fast responsive & as light as anything in its price range or comparable wheelset!

Weaknesses:
I dunna know???? Really What? I can't think of anything they have over 8000 miles on them! & Nothing yet!

Similar Products Used:
Campy Zonda, Scirroco's, Spinergy XAero's &
Ritchey Pro's (am I really comparing uhm no!) Shimano WH-550's

Favorite Ride:
America's Most Beautiful Bike Ride

Bike Setup:
Merlin xtralight, 1994 frame, all record ergo stuff, still with cinelli bars and stem, time fork.. I love it

Summary:
Fantastic wheel set. Campy record hubs smooth as silk, the free wheel is free, they seem very responsive, don't notice appreciable flex at all. Much better than the Mavic Ksyrium SSC SL's which creaked, flexed, and had poor hubs especially the freewheel resistance

Strengths:
Hubs, looks, responsiveness

Weaknesses:
expense I guess

Similar Products Used:
Mavic Ksyrium SSC SL, plus older standard mavic wheels with various campy record hubs over many years..
