Bike Setup: Shimano Ultegra, Coda hubs, Cane Creek headset, Mavic Open-Pro rims
Summary: This bike was one of the first off the assembly line in fall of 1999. I was impressed from the start with the wishbone CAD 4 frame. A great solid handling bike. Quick responsiveness coupled with stability make it a joy to ride. Don't pass-up a test ride.
Strengths: Light weight, super quick response, superior handling
Weaknesses: None discovered

Summary: I RODE IN A METRIC CENTURY THIS PAST WEEKEND AND TOTALLY ENJOYED IT! THE BIKE CLIMBED GREAT, DESCENDED GREAT, AND WAS TOTALLY COMFORTABLE. I WOULDN'T CHANGE A THING. THE MAVIC KRYSIUM WHEELS WERE GREAT(I WEIGHT 190 LBS.-NO PROBLEM). I'M TOTALLY SATISFIED.
Strengths: LIGHTWEIGHT BUT UNBELIEVABLY STABLE
Weaknesses: NONE SO FAR

Summary: Love this bike. It corners well, climbs well, and its quick out of the blocks. I find the ride to be excellent. However, I am a heavier rider so that may be a factor. My other aluminum roadbike (Specialized / Allez) definitely feels more on the harsh side. Quality and fit are superb. The 12/25 rear cassette is a big help where I live (very steep climbs).
Strengths: Light and fast. Excellent craftmanship and handling characteristics.
Weaknesses: None found - took a long time to get the fork from the factory. Read in the reviews (here) that the stock wheels on the 2000 (year) model were a bit weak. Because I weigh a bit over 200 Lbs. I went with Mavic CXP/33 rims since they are stronger.

Bike Setup: Stock, Shimano SPD pedals, Flight Deck Computer
Summary: This is a good all round bike for just about anything. I weigh in at 215lbs and have very powerful legs. I have had other bikes that twist like a wet noodle when I am up out of the saddle. This bike is very responsive and accelerates well. For the money I couldn't have bought a better bike.
Strengths: Light, stiff, groupset
Weaknesses: Loud stickers

Favorite Ride: anything over the Brooklyn or George Washington Bridge!
Bike Setup: Stock ultegra (ok, it's a triple... but I'm fine with that), with Carbon Slice Fork, CAAD 5 (I have the 2001 model, which is the only difference), and the women's Selle Italia Trans Am saddle (very comfortable) with the Flight Deck computer. The rims are the Mavric Kyseriums, great for me, but I heard differently for heavier riders. Well, it can't be too bad, it worked for Lance!
Summary: Expensive, but worth it! I am totally in love with my R2000 and would recommend it to anyone.
Strengths: I was afraid that this bike would be uncomfortable for a woman my size (5'3"; 120 lbs.), but I was quickly reassured that this bike was EXTREMELY comfortable. This bike is responsive to quick turns, great on cornering, and a ton of fun. I absolutely love it!
Weaknesses: NONE
