Price Paid:  $140.00 at Sundance Cyclery, Ag

Favorite Ride:
Old Topanga Canyon

Bike Setup:
Colnago with Campy Record

Summary:
After several years of use my CM 434 finally bit the dust and I am looking forward to getting another computer from a different manufacturer.

Why? The % grade took forever to update. You'd get the reading for a patch of hill that you rode like 50 ft. ago. And I'm not sure if that reading was all that accurate

The rubber band they provide to attach the computer to the handlebar is a joke. Would it kill them to give us an attachment with a screw to secure things? And about a year ago the adhesive that sticks the computer bracket to the handlebar gave out. I had to use some double sided tape to secure the bracket.

The control buttons were confusing as heck. I've had this thing for 3 years and I still can't remember how to get into the secondary level of the computer information interface (total mileage, total feet climbed, etc...)

Strengths:
Accurate speed and mileage.

Weaknesses:
Slow to update % gradient

The horrible rubber band they have holding the computer to the handlebar

Confusing control buttons

Price Paid:  $0.00 at Internet

Favorite Ride:
The hills in Delaware County, NY

Bike Setup:
Seven Axiom, Campy Record gruppo, Campy Eurus wheels

Summary:
This product is deeply flawed in almost every respect. The user interface is not only complex, but awkward... impossible to operate when you are on the bike. The computer is innaccurate...up to .4/mph error in average speed, on every ride.(Note: this is a calculation function, not a distance measurement function: the computer shows 20 miles ridden in 1 hour...but shows an average speed of 19.6 mph). And, support is terrible. When I called the distributor to explain the consistent errors, (twice), I was told that calculation errors are present in all computers, and that I shouldnt expect total accuracy.
On every level, this product was a disappointment.

Strengths:
None

Weaknesses:
complexity, awkward interface, lack of accuracy, bad/non -existant support
