at ebay Favorite Ride: Flat and fast Bike Setup: lemond with DA Summary: Ive always been skeptical about people saying that carbon bars and stems really smooth out the road that much. Last year i finally bit the bullet and bought an easton ec90 carbon bar.. and it really didnt make much of a difference. After talking to people.. i finally found a good deal on this EC70 stem.. and that was KEY. This thing makes such a huge difference. It looks great, is pretty light, and REALLY soaks up road vibration. Hands get much less fatigued, and at that price i couldnt not buy it. Strengths: Looks, vibration dampening Weaknesses: none so far though ive only had it about a month Similar Products Used: bontrager race, ea50, ritchey 4 axis

at Ebay Favorite Ride: My morning commute Bike Setup: 17.6lb SC-r with pedals and polar. Campy Record everywhere. Summary: This stem is very solid, damps road vibration well, and looks great with my EC90 bar. I probably would have bought another Thomson post exept that when I bought this Thomson hadn't come out with their OS stems yet. Strengths: This thing is strong, I'm 180lbs and I haven't felt any flex at all in it. It's also very good at soaking up vibration. The clamps are very solid, no slippage at all yet. Weaknesses: It's not cheap, and there are lighter posts out there. Similar Products Used: Thomson, cinelli, specialized, race face and many others.
