Good entry level touring/commuting bike. Strong 36 spoke wheels. Average components, if you ride lots consider getting a better bike or planning on swapping things out after 4-5000 miles.
Took it on some centuries and 250 mile multi-day tours, and I'm still happy with it. Not the lightest thing around, but with me, comfort rules over weight.
I ride this bike 20+ miles 5 days a week and it's a dependable ride, I have no plans to replace it. Strengths:
I like the fit and feel of the frame and bike for commuting/touring. Bike comes with a rack, great for trunk bag or panniers. Good entry level price. Shifting components fine, no problems after 6000 miles, ditto frame. Weaknesses:
Brakes on the model I had were junk, replaced with Shimano XT as soon as I could. Rear wheel bearing failure at 4000 miles, got a new wheel. Bottom bracket wobbly at 6000 miles, replaced. Similar Products Used:
