2000 GT XCR 2000, Psylo XC, Fox float R

Summary:
Well it's a pretty well put together helmet. It's held up to three big crashes. But i think it's time i stepped up to the full face.

Strengths:
Light, comfortable, breathes well, and the fit system is great cuz i have a big head

Weaknesses:
weak shell that cracks and scratches easily

Similar Products Used:

Price Paid:  $45.00 at Trek Store Madison,

Bike Setup:
02 Trek 6500 /w m0324's, and a heavier spring in the shock.

02 Fuji Newest with pd-A515 pedals.

Summary:
I have the Silver one purchased in early '02.

This was the only helmet I tried out, and it fits quite well. It saved my noggin twice already, and held up great. The little pads you can place around the inside of the helmet help it stay in place even when flipping over forward... and backward... and tipping over... etc... *8) The visor does rattle in the slightest, and looks like it might a touch mis-shapen from being packaged too long? It also gets very warm. Summer in southern Wisconsin gets pretty hot, so if you're going to do a lot of riding in very warm weather, you might want better venting.

Strengths:
Inexpensive
Comfortable
Looks pretty cool

Weaknesses:
Gets very warm on hot days
Visor rattles a little, but that's probably just my own helmet and not a general problem.

Similar Products Used:
Original Giro foam dealie with the cloth/mesh helmet cover.
