at Cambria Bike Favorite Ride: Toad's Wild Ride Bike Setup: Full XT. XT hubs on Open Pro rims. Green Mich. tires (of course!) Summary: Awesome fun machine, also a great race bike. The frame somehow manages to be stiff without being harsh. Also very light. My bare frame (57cm) weighs in at around 3.6lbs. Great fun on singletrack. It's surprising what you can go over with those skinny tires. Did a MTB race a few weeks ago and was kicking ass until I got a pinch flat. Works great on the road also. Climbs well and still has a smooth ride on rough pavement. Kinda pricey, but well worth the extra cash. Strengths: Light, stiff, yet comfortable. Handles well both on and off road. Good mud clearance. Great welds and finish. Chrome-green paint! Weaknesses: No barrel adjusters (had to install some in-lines) but fair considering the intended use. Similar Products Used: Kona Jake the Snake, Surly Cross-check.
