at Getaway Bikes Favorite Ride: Dam Road Bike Setup: Standard KHS Flite 500 w/ Look pp396 pedals. Summary: Pretty cool first bike. The price was right and I am happy with my decision. I am riding about 50 m/week now and am really getting into it. The bike takes the road well, and is comfortable. The front derailer is a little stubborn, but I am sure I can remedy this easily with a slight component upgrade. The front brake squeals some on the occasion I use it. Overall, it is really good for the money. Strengths: Comfortable, good price, good components, cool color(red, yellow and black). Weaknesses: Sora front derailer, squeaky front brake. at Getaway Bikes Summary: This is a great bike for the money. Most of the components are Tiagra, wich is great because it's upwards-compatible with the rest of the Shimano line. The no-name carbon fork is a great thing to have at this price point. The frame is nice Reynolds steel. Selle Italia saddle is perfect. Even the no-name brakes work and look great. I know there are plenty better bikes out there, but this one is really good. I got it 6 months ago and have already put 1K miles on it. It's great for fast recreational riding, would make a great commuting bike, too. Strengths: Overall package
carbon fork
Neuvation radial wheels Weaknesses: Cyclone triple crankset
Weight (22 lbs--lose the triple, get better wheels and get under 20!)
