Price Paid:  $1275.00

Model Year:
2005

Bike Setup:
Stock, with the exception of saddle. I changed to a ISM racing Adamo.

Summary:
Purchased the bike new on-line (even though the bike was over 1 year old). Wanted full Ultegra and a triple as it has been nearly 10 years since my last road bike. I don't have a lot of recent road bike experience so bear that in mind. The bike is very well crafted and, to me, is very light weight. I have only ridden one other aluminum frame in the past (a cannondale) and I found it to be very jolting. I have not experienced that feeling with the Koga. It does have a carbon fork and perhaps that helps. Even the bike shop where I took it for a final assembly check commented on the quality and wanted to know the purchase price. Overall, I have not found comparable bikes in the same price range.

Strengths:
Lightweight, solid and smooth ride.

Weaknesses:
None found so far

Similar Products Used:
Bridgestone RB-1

Summary:
Nice looking bike. Full Ultegra. Quick off the mark. Have had only one long ride since I bought it last week, but very happy so far. Never knew a bike could go so fast (rode a Trek 7500fx prior).

Strengths:
Great components. Great price ($900 off list). Nice design. Too much of a newbie in road bikes to compare with others. But, it European and obscure, which were selling points.

Weaknesses:
Lack of info about this Dutch company. Couldn't find reviews, etc. Lousy name for a bike (GentsLux).

Similar Products Used:
First road bike since 1976 Motobecane. Test rode Specialized Allez Comp (didn't like compact frame) and Trek 2100 (nice ride, but not great components for the price. Did have carbon stays, however. Trek is too popular.)
