Price Paid:  $34.00 at Nashbar

Favorite Ride:
The one I'm on

Summary:
I guess a more traditional bike seat does not work for me. I usually get some prostate pain which can linger for days, which has the added effect of that aching feeling one gets when hit in the sweets with a soccer ball. I imagine 225 lbs. doesn't help.

I tried the Silver because of all the Koobi reviews, and it just looked like it would solve my problem. It did. No more aching pressure. Ahhh.

Physics would suggest that if the weight of the prostate area is taken off the middle of the nose of the saddle, it must be increased on the split rails of the Koobi because it has to go somewhere. I don't notice it.

Strengths:
It works for me; quite well made; considering the price of other saddles--a great value in leather; looks nice.

Weaknesses:
None

Price Paid:  $0.00 at Nashbar

Summary:
I bought this saddle on the strengths of previous reviews. Unfortunately it just did not work for me. My sit bones just seemed to scrape on the sides painfully -I think the seat is too wide! At first I thought it was just me getting used to the saddle, but 100 miles later it was getting worse. I tried different angles, etc, but nothing worked.

Granted it may be a great saddle for many people -it seems pretty well made, but since I don't or won't know about longevity, I give it 3 stars.

Strengths:
Seems to be well made.

Weaknesses:
Just not the saddle for me, so I can't give a true long term review of this.
Very uncomfortable design for me.

Selle Italia, WT, various OEMs

Price Paid:  $23.00 at nashbar

Favorite Ride:

Bike Setup:
Specialized Allez Triple, Koobi Silver, SPD's, Cateye Wireless

Summary:
Bought a new Specialized Allez Triple in December. The BG Comp saddle for me was pure butt torture.
I read reviews here on saddles, looked for relief at a great price, and found it in Nashbar Returns.
When it came in the mail, I noticed it didn't seem any better padded than the BG. But it's all about the shape.
Bottom line is no more after-ride soreness. Great job, Koobi!

Strengths:
Lightweight (about 265 grams), after-ride comfort

Weaknesses:
Could possibly use some gel for during-ride comfort.

Similar Products Used:
Specialized BG Comp, Specialized BG Comfort (much better than the comp)

Price Paid:  $29.00 at Nashbar

Favorite Ride:
410 to Greenwater

Bike Setup:
steel co-motion, ultegra, speedplay, king headset

Summary:
Comfort is a beautiful thing. From the day I put my seat in this saddle there has never been soreness, much less numbness. This includes one day with over 16 hours in the saddle. Never before had I logged more than 8 hours a day in the saddle. I was expecting serious problems, but there was no soreness.

Strengths:
Comfort, price, stealth all black look

Weaknesses:
may not fit you like it does me
