    Price Paid:  $130.00 at lakecycling.com

    Favorite Ride:
    from home to work

    Bike Setup:
2008 Cannondale Synapse 3, my "nice bike"
2004 Novara Strada, my "rain bike"/back-up bike

    Summary:
This shoe is downright cavernous. Easily wide enough for my EE foot and there was more than enough volume (vertical space) to fit my high instep. If you're finding that the supposedly "wide" shoes you're trying on like Sidi Megas or Shimanos are still not wide enough, try this one on. If you can't find it locally then it'll be worth it to pay shipping from lakecycling.com if just to get your hands on it.

    Strengths:
    1. Plenty of space for even the most freakishly wide or high-volume foot.
    2. Microbuckle at instep distributes load evenly; no discomfort even on my bony, veiny instep.
    3. Stiff! If this thing is flexing, I can't feel it.

    Weaknesses:
    1. Heavy, or at least they feel like it when I hold on in my hand. Probably not acceptable to weight weenies & racers.
    2. The microbuckle is fussy and sometimes requires some coaxing.
    3. No ventiation port in front of the toes as you see on Shimano road shoes.
    4. Dealing with Lake Cycling. They just don't do anything to make buying from them easy; they're perpetually sold out of certain colors/sizes, they make you pay to-doorstep & return shipping (zappos and other companies won't), you can return/exchange shoes only within a 30-day window and even then it's only after you call first for a return authorization #. Makes you wonder who's serving who.
    5. Nearly as expensive as a carbon-soled shoe; this is why I gave it a weak value rating.

Tried on many other shoes, these were the only ones that were wide enough!
