| | Favorite Ride: anything Bike Setup: Shimano Nexage pushbutton shifters, shimano drivetrain (bottom line derailluers), rigid fork. Summary: I was in the states for 2 weeks for a funeral. It was nice to have something to ride around on instead of walking. It was a little too big for me, but considering the circumstances, I really can't complain. It would make a nice commuter bike. Strengths: The shifters were push button, quite unique. The suspension seatpost was nice too. Weaknesses: The padded seat was not terrible, but made me miss my Specialized geometry seat at home. The handlebars creaked when I rode it uphill, but it didn't fall apart. Similar Products Used: This was my first hybrid, I normally ride my Specialized Hardrock. I'm in the market for a new roadbike as well

| | Favorite Ride:
Sugar River Trail,Wi. Bike Setup:
Stock. Summary: This is a great all around bicycle for everyday use.I do most of my riding on the street, but it handles well on groomed trails as well. For anyone who was brought up on traditional steel framed behemoths, the speed and handling you get with the Mongoose is astounding.Bike is lots of fun to ride,I use it almost daily weather permitting. A fine value in a entry level quality bicycle.
Strengths:
Good Build Quality.Great Value.Comfortable Riding Position. Weaknesses:
Gear Set Is Not That Smooth Shifting,But Not That Bad. Similar Products Used:
None.

| | Bike Setup:
bike is all stock except for new pedals with toe clips, computer, and water bottle holder. Summary: I've owned the bike for a month and i ride it to work every week day (about 20 miles overall). For the price, this bike gets at least a four star rating. I paid $230.00 for great all around solid bike. I put in an extra 80 for new pedals with toeclips, computer, waterbottle holder, and a kick stand. Its ultra comfy and because i have back problems its the choice for me when it comes to long rides. Build quality is pretty good, no breakdowns yet. Yeah, the bike is a bit slow and can only stay on the road, but compared to my GT mountain bike - this Mongoose is a rocked on the road. For someone looking that is looking for a real deal in a new hybrid, specially to complement another bike, this is it Strengths:
Price, price, price OOOOOOOhhhhh - comfy!!! Weaknesses:
nothing that really stands out as bad. Only real complaint are the wheels. Similar Products Used: None
