Summary: This review is for the Nashbar Apollo Shorts. I purchased them on sale, and upon closer inspection they looked well made with ample padding. I tried them on and they were a bit snug. I ordered a large, but due to the large chamois pad, they were snug. I rode one time using them and I honestly have to say that if the weren't so snug, I would have ridden for hours. The shorts went back for an exchange, so I will review the pairs they send when I receive them. Nashbar appears to have a pretty good return policy.
Strengths: Good padding, quality lycra.
Weaknesses: Too snug, order one size bigger

Summary: This review is for the Nashbar Millennium Gel shorts, which are not listed separately on this web site. These are the most comfortable shorts I've worn: they fit well, don't chafe, don't pinch, and really take care of vibrations and ungrateful saddles. Nashbar claims it uses the most comfortable gel chamois made, and I'm convinced. Like any shorts, can benefit from a good chamois creme.
Strengths: Great fit and comfort; shock absorption; no chafing or hot spots; distribute pressure evenly where needed.
Weaknesses: Chamois doesn't breathe, so it gets soggy from perspiration on long hot rides (especially indoors on a trainer).
Similar Products Used: Sugoi, Voler, InMotion, other Nashbar and Performance shorts (including Liquicell, Performance gel, and the highly rated Performance Elite Multi-L).

Summary: Nice heavy material. Comfortable. My first pair of bib sorts.
Strengths: Heavy material, comfort, price
Weaknesses: suspenders slide off my shoulders really easily when not on my bike, never had a problem while riding. This may be a problem with all bib shorts, this is the only pair I have ever worn.

Bike Setup: Torelli Columbus ELOS with Campy Chorus
Summary: Have done @ 100 road miles in these shorts and my initial pleasure has waned steadily. Nice heavy gauge lycra is also hot. Fabric is too loose around chamois, material often gets hung on saddle tip. Stitching is rough and breaking down quickly. But biggest problem is baseball stiching in chamois that chaffs pretty bad after about 15 miles.
Strengths: Nice fit. Heavy gauge material. Good price
Weaknesses: Baseball chamois has rough stiching in exactly the wrong spots.
