Price Paid:  $899.00 at Neuvation Cycling

    Favorite Ride:
    Grapevine Road/Mars Hill, NC

    Bike Setup:
    -Cannondale CAAD 8

    -Shimano Ultegra/DA drivetrain

    -Neuvation R28 SL2/C50 wheels

-Continental Grand Prix 4000 rear/Competition front

    Summary:
The wheelset is very stiff and light. They spin up very fast up hills, react quickly during the sprint and rail the corners of a crit. The hubs are solid and have the option for a ceramic bearing upgrade. The bearing upgrade kit is equal to that used by most if not all of the wheel manufacturers you can think of, but for much less. Instructions and a cup press come with the upgrade kit. I've never changed bearings in a wheel before and it was easy. Definitely get the snap ring tool and punch kit for this operation. The wheels come with their own cork pads and spokes so no extra purchases needed. John from Neuvation had these wheels out to me inside of a week when I ordered them. I've been running them now for three months in crits and road races. There is little effort needed to get these things rolling. Continental tubulars on front and rear using 22mm wide.

    Strengths:
    -Stiff rim

    -Solid, fast hubs

-Equal in price to high end aluminum wheels, but lighter and stiffer

    -Best customer service around

    Weaknesses:
    -None so far
