at NiagaraCycleWorks Favorite Ride: Ribmo 26 X 2 Bike Setup: specialized hard rock Summary: 1,000 miles so far and zero flats. That is a record for me. The streets of Queens, NY are not the kindest to bike tires. Strengths: Doesn't get flats on the commute. Weaknesses: Ridgid, ride is a little bumpier.
I'll sacrafice a soft ride for a ride without flats. Similar Products Used: Kenda Cross (absolute crap). Got two flats on first two commutes (both from tiny pieces of glass that went right through the belt).

at uBRDO Favorite Ride: Local bike trails Bike Setup: Trek 7500 Summary: There is a lot of broken glass on our roads and trails but it's never an issue with the Ribmos. I love the stiff casing and the 100psi max on the 700x32. The variable tire profile seems to improve cornering grip without adversely affecting turn-in. These are tough tires. Their weight might be an issue for some riders. Specialized Armadillos are a little lighter and just as tough, but for some unscientific reason I like the Ribmos better. Strengths: Low rolling resistance.
Very puncture resistant. Weaknesses: Difficult to seat the bead on the rim.
Weight may be an issue (you decide). Similar Products Used: Specialized Armadillo tires (great).
Schwalb (a total disappointment).

at LBS Bike Setup: Santana Sovereign Tandem Summary: We had a couple of blow-outs with Continental Ultra Gatorskins so on the advice of my mechanic I switched to these Panaracer RibMo's (700x28) We have about 300 miles on them. I pump up to 120 psi. They're great! Strengths: Low rolling resistence....they hold the air... Weaknesses: None....so far. I need to e-shop more..I paid over $80 for two of them..That's why my "value rating" is 3 Similar Products Used: Continental Ultra Gator Skins

at THe Bike Spot, Fort Favorite Ride: Panaracer RiBMo Bike Setup: Fuji Touring with Brooks Swift Saddle, Look A5.1 pedals, Shimano Deore components, Garmin Edge 205, Blackburn lighting Summary: I bought these tires for my Fuji Touring bike. I use it to commute to and from work (34 miles round trip). I found that the 85 PSI tires from the factory were just pinched too much with all the weight. I run 2 suntour panniers and carry a lot of stuff (laptop, clothes, etc..) The immediate difference is the efficiency of the tire and the smoothness of the ride. I've had no problems riding in the rain and they corner very well.
I highly recommend these tires if you need a lttle more speed and can sacrifice the lower pressue "fat tire" feel from the factory originals.. Strengths: Kevlar bead - reinforced tread design and 100 PSI. Weaknesses: I was not a big fan of the lettering on the tire or the hardness of the tread material, but it seems to work. Do not buy these if you don't like some road feel or vibration. Similar Products Used: I've tried almost every available commuter and touring tire out there.

at Universal Cycles Favorite Ride: back roads almost any where Bike Setup: Cyclocross/touring/urban Summary: I have only had the Ribmo tires on for a few weeks, but my initial observation is they are great tires for the city and I plan to ride on them touring this summer. Strengths: Overall handling and the sidewall design. The two serious bike accidents I've been in where due to sidewall failures. Weaknesses: I'll get back on this after I get some months and miles on them.
