Price Paid:  $0.00

Bike Setup:
Fuji Roubaix Pro with speedplay X2's

Summary:
If you ride a lot you are better off purchasing some better shoes. These shoes
are relatively inexpensive and are more for
occasional/entry level riders.

Strengths:
inexpensive.

Weaknesses:
On long rides, they hurt my feet. They are
extremely uncomfortable, I can feel the
screws of the speedplay cleats throu the sole of the shoe. This is a problem with this model of shoe only, as a previous model of shimano road shoes I owned were extremely comfortable.

Older shimano shoes.

Price Paid:  $40.00 at Performance

Summary:
I tried on a LOT of shoes and decided on these. They simply fit my foot better than a lot of more expensive shoes. Of the ones that fit, I couldn't find a good reason to pay $100 more for them.

They aren't light, but that wasn't a concern for me.

The two straps seem to be perfectly placed. They aren't quite as good as three good straps, but WAY better than three bad ones or any of the other two strap designs I tried.

Bottom Line:
Make sure you try a lot of shoes and if these happen to work for you, they're quite a bargain.

Strengths:
PRICE!!!
Fits my foot well.

Weaknesses:
Heavier than more expensive shoes.
Two straps not as adjustable as three.

Favorite Ride:
hill climbs

Bike Setup:
Full Dura ace, Klein Quantum Pro.

Summary:
These shoes are extremely bulky. In a group ride you will
feel like you are wearing ski boots compared to other shoes. The extra padding around the sides and top does nothing to me -- I don't need it. The ventilation hole in the sole is large enough to let a squirrel in. Seriously, on a cool day my feet freeze from the air coming in. The interior sole is some flimsy padding, which I know I am going to have to replace soon. My very 8 old Sidi's had a leather interior sole which still looks good. Save yourself some grief and put a little more money into another shoe.

Strengths:
None that other shoes won't have.

Weaknesses:
Shoe is bulky without adding extra comfort, and has a large
ventilation hole on the sole.
