Price Paid:  $3000.00 at La Chaux-de-Fonds (C

Favorite Ride:
la montagne

Bike Setup:
cadre et fourche Specialized S-Works E5, groupe Campa Record, roues Campa Neutron, pneus Continental GP 3000, potence et guidon deda newton 31.8, pédales Campa Record, tige de selle Use aluminum, selle Flite TT

Summary:

Strengths:
Rigidité, confort, poids, géometrie, look

Weaknesses:
prix relativement élevé du vélo complet

Trek 5500, Scapin eos7

Price Paid:  $0.00

Bike Setup:
Campy record, Spinergy Xaero wheels

Summary:
Poor build quality. Six trips to the shop to iron out noise/drivetrain issues. Did not intend to buy a bike to tinker with it all the time.

I set up my last bike - smooth, silent and elegant. The Specialized S Works E5 has not met my expectations. Would not buy again.

Strengths:
Light - nice geometry

Weaknesses:
Sounds like a maytag washer when under load (And I weigh 165 Lbs).

Similar Products Used:
Pinarello, Vitus, Colnago, Trek

Price Paid:  $0.00 at Le Tour Cycles (www.

Favorite Ride:
Alpine Classic

Bike Setup:
DA groupset. ITM millenium stem and bar. Mike Burrow (Giant) seatpost. Sella San Marco Era. Mavic Ks

Summary:
I have the Festina replica S-Works SL for 12 months and had to replace to the to E5 A&S replica frame due to a crack at the chainstay! Cost nothing to replace!! Thanks to Le Tour! The first ride I can tell the difference straight away. It is more refined.. The Festina SL was stiff at the back... A&E E5 is even stiffer. Integrated headset and carbon steerer are the new upgrades and weakness at the front is well sorted. IT IS still a demon up the hill (where I enjoyed). I can now sprint too!!

Strengths:
Strong rear. Light and sweet climbing if you spin. Not good if you are Jan Ullich.

Weaknesses:
The rear can be less comfortable than the one with carbon seat stay... but you want more kilos in your frame?!

Similar Products Used:
Specialized S-Works SL (Festina). Giant TCR.

Price Paid:  $0.00 at Garners Pro Bike Sho

Favorite Ride:
The Spectrum Ride

Bike Setup:
Dura ace 9-speed. Reynolds all carbon fork. Velomax acsent wheels, Ritchey stem, TTT forma 42 bar, S

Summary:
It's a good one. After my '99 M4 busted I got an E5 to replace it. At first I wasn't very happy because I didn't want the compact frame. After a few rides and many compliments, it proves to be rather sweet. I got the frame/fork and put the built it up they I wanted. It's a 62cm and is under 17lbs! It's not as solid a feel as my M4 was. It has a forgiving feel while remaining stiff out of the saddle.

Strengths:
The paint seems to be very tuff. The color really stands out. Very light. The reynolds integrated fork looks clean and is responsive. Desends nice. The low c/g helps. built in seatpost binder adds to the clean look.

Weaknesses:
Havn't found any. Hope it stays that way.

Similar Products Used:
Specialized S-works M4 Road, Litespeed Vortex, Cataylst.

Price Paid:  $0.00 at local bike shop

Favorite Ride:
anything long

Bike Setup:
All stock except for ITM millienium bar and stem.

Summary:
This is it! The bike handles like a cat on carpet, and sprints up climbs like a rocket. I race for a local specialized factory team and have used alot of first out stuff, but this beat all my expectations! I had a full carbon road bike prior to this because my rides are mostly 70-100 miles and liked the comfort, but this baby is gives me more comfort and a stonger platform to sprint!

Strengths:
Stiff but very comfortable ride. A lightweight, very slick mix of components.

Weaknesses:
None!!!

trek 5900
