Price Paid:  $150.00 at LBS

Favorite Ride:
Long climbs

Bike Setup:
Carbon

Summary:
Generally comfortable saddle. Used the "seat meter" that measures ischial tuberosity width. This seat works well if you ride with your pelvis moderately tilted forward. I ride with a more forward (probably "extreme") tilt that results in some thigh chafe. The useless plastic parts have come off despite gentle treatment. Why did Specialized ever put them on? I have moved on to a Nashbar saddle (Race 2).

Strengths:
Pretty good comfort. Various widths.

Weaknesses:
Plastic accent pieces were a very bad idea.

Similar Products Used:
E2 FormGel. Nashbar Race2.

Price Paid:  $150.00 at Cyclesport

Favorite Ride:
Rivendell

Bike Setup:
Classic Road Bike

Summary:
Comfortable saddle for me, but not very durable. Left side rear of saddle broken after about 1500 miles of road use. I weigh about 190 lbs, but have never had a saddle break in this way, or after such short use.

Strengths:
Very comfortable somewhat flexible split saddle absorbs road shock, easy for me to adapt to, limits pressure on sensitive areas, no chafing.

Weaknesses:
Poor durability, saddle did not last, broken left side rear part of saddle after about 1500 miles. I would pay the high cost for the comfort factor, but can' afford such a short life for the cost.

Similar Products Used:
Specialized Alias - reasonably comfortable for an upright riding position, but flare out of rear of saddle chafes on long rides on road setup in the drops. More durable.

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
Light and comfortable but very poor durability.

I have now owned 3 of these saddles, each one has been a pleasure to ride until they broke. Two things break on this saddle. The first is the plastic nose cover, this has a tendency to get caught on your clothes as you stand up to sprint and snaps off. The second is more serious, after 6 month all of the saddles have developed cracks under one side, which ultimately propagate along the length of the saddle rendering it useless.

Customer service is mediocre at best.

Strengths:
Light, comfortable

Weaknesses:
Durability, breaks breaks breaks.

Price Paid:  $280.00 at LBS

Favorite Ride:
Royal National Park

Summary:
I wanted a saddle that was light & comfortable but most importantly has large cut-out to maximise circulation. My research led me to pick this saddle. For the most part was very happy however after 6 months shell developed a crack on what appeared to be a molding seam, took back to LBS where purchased and got the brush-off, went back a month later to be told warranty had been denied as they claimed was impact damage (not possible as had never had any impact whatsoever) I asked for saddle back so that I could take up direct, saddle "lost"!!!!!!

Strengths:
Very light, quite comfortable for weight, looked great.

Weaknesses:
Not durable, terrible, terrible customer service for such a premium brand. Based on this experience will never buy Specialized again.

Price Paid:  $150.00 at Pleasanton Bicycles,

Favorite Ride:
Seven Sisters, Marin Country, CA

Bike Setup:
Serrota Concors

Summary:
Well, I preface my review with the full understanding that saddle affinity is very subjective. But after a long search for a saddle, this is the on for me. It addressed numbness issues pretty much completely for me. The fact the saddle is still w/ minimal padding is fine for me, as I race and am strong so I don't need much. But, what I think is helpful for everyone, is that the saddle comes in different sizes. I have the 155. For reference, I am 6"1, 180 lbs

Strengths:
Design for numbness relief, comes in multiple sizes

Weaknesses:
Stupid carbon-looking plastic tip that is actually sharp and hurts if you back your bum into it
