Price Paid:  $1175.00 at Kim's Bike - ebay

Favorite Ride:
mountains

Bike Setup:
Felt DA frame with full Campy Record, Oval Concepts A-901 aerobars, Look KEO Carbon Ti pedals

Summary:
I really like these wheels. The claims about the spokes giving a more comfortable ride really are true. I have a set of Zipp 404, and while I like them a lot, they give a noticeably harsher ride than the Spinergy. I weighed my set on a postal scale and they come in at 1615 grms...far off the 1500 gm claimed. My set has white spokes and they look really flashy with white sidewalled Michelin Pro 3 Race tires. I've been riding them for about 6 months on the VERY bumpy roads of New Orleans - I am about 200 lbs. and they are still perfectly in true. The set I have does grab a bit when braking and I have never used them in the rain, so I can't comment on braking ability in wet conditions.

Strengths:
Smooth, fast, comfortable, flashy looks, very smooth hubs, skewers work very well (nice design), unique, attention grabbing, stay true, durable

Weaknesses:
Rounded spokes not too aero, heavier than advertised, very difficult to install Michelin Pro 3 Race tires, but that may be inherent in the tire, not the wheel...have not tried to install other brand of tires.

Zipp 404, Edge 1.38, Zipp 808, Campy Eurus

Price Paid:  $999.00 at Kim's Bikes - ebay

Favorite Ride:
Any ride where cars don't try to run me over is a good ride

Bike Setup:
2007 Litespeed Vortex, Easton EC90 SL fork, Campagnolo Record group, Easton EC90 seat post, Arione Ti saddle, ITM Mellinium Stem & wing bars.... oh and Spinnergy PBO FCC wheels w/ Continental GP 4000s tires.

Summary:
These wheels are a very good value, tough carbon clincher that provides an unbelievably smooth ride with good aero dynamics.

I was looking for a tough carbon clincher for everyday training and a comfortable riding wheel for those epic days in the saddle. These wheels fit the requirments perfectly.

I went with the clincher version because changing flats are easier and because of the possibility of needing to borrow an inner tube especially on a epic ride.

I may still get a set of tubular wheels for event / race day but these wheels haven't given me any reason to. They feel very fast.

Strengths:
These wheels are very comfortable; the PBO spokes really takes the edge off of bumps and dampen buzz especially rough chip sealed roads. Some road imperfections are unnoticable.

These are a very tough set of carbon clinchers. I've bashed these into pot holes and ridden across numerous rail road tracks and they are as true as the day I got them.

These wheels have a good aero advantage over non deep rim wheels. I notice that they are easier to keep at speed over my Ksyrium SLs but the aero effect doesn't really kick in until speeds are over 23 mph.

The hubs spin very nice and are very quiet.

Braking power is very good for a carbon wheel. I'm using Campagnolo Bora carbon specific pads and they stop as good as my aluminum clinchers.

After one year & 2000 miles, there is no noticable wear on the braking surfaces.

Weaknesses:
The big fat PBO spokes can't be as aero dynamic as skinny ovalized spokes like CX-Rays.

My wheels were 65 grams heavier than the claimed 1500 grams.

The Spinnergy skewers are very heavy.

Similar Products Used:
These are my first set of carbon wheels so I've nothing to compare them to except various aluminum clinchers

Favorite Ride:
Mount Mitchell

Bike Setup:
Cervelo Soloist Carbon
Dura Ace
Spinergy Stealth PBO FCC w/ Conti GP 4000

Summary:
These wheels have been through hell and back under my bike over the last year. I've slammed into potholes, slid out in a turn with a film of sand in it, and ended up in a pile-up...these wheels are never out of true or damaged at all. Amazing. Now comes the even better part...they are extremely comfortable! I cannot believe I don't see more of these on the road.

Strengths:
Rock Solid, responsive and yet very supple.

Weaknesses:
Can be hairy in heavy crosswinds

Price Paid:  $1200.00 at France

Bike Setup:
Fuji SL1
Full Ultegra
3T Stem and bars
Time RXS carbon pedals
Italia Thork Saddle
Spinergy Stealth FCC wheels

Summary:
Well from what i have read of the other reviews i will agree on most of the points mentioned. The only thing that i dont agree on is that theese wheels make you ride any faster. They have to be one of the most comfortable rides on the market and to get that comfort you got to sacrafice a little preformance, not a lot just a little.

Strengths:
Comfort, comfort, comfort and with all that comfort it reduces fatigue so therefore i believe can make your bike just feel a little more of a pleasure to be on (maybe this is the sensation that some of the other reviews might be mistaking with increased speed)

Weaknesses:
If you like to climb the big down side to these wheels is the amount of flex due to the pbo spokes. When putting a bit of extra power on the crank you will find that the rims can move enough to touch off the brake pads, this normally happens when climbing or sprinting. The cure is just to ajust the tension of your brake cables but be warned this may solve the rubbing rims on the way up but it will also affect the braking on the way down.
