Summary: I did a lot of research before I even bought this bike. Was a little hesitant since I couldn't hop on for a demo ride from my LBS. I have been completely satisfied and then some. I am very impressed with the quality of the build. It's light but sturdy enough to handle a big 210lb guy like me. I have absolutely no complaints about the bike itself. The customer service was also great. My rear dérailleur hanger was bent on arrival. I had my LBS fix it but RS Cycle sent me a new one free of charge.
Weaknesses: My only complaint is with the wheel set. This is the cheap part of the bike. Like other users, I've also had problems with flats. I've actually had 4 (2 on each wheel) with only 100 miles on the bike. Check this website for the review on the wheels...Shimano R500. Lots of people have had this same problem. Gonna be replacing them immediately.

Summary: My first impression has to do with the packaging of the product. The folks at sun and ski said and I quote "That's how a bike should be packaged"
It's a very smooth ride, and easy to climb bike, for the price I could have bought a Trek 2100 or this, and I'm glad I made this choice.
Might get me another set of tires as I got a flat the very first day I rode. (a patch of terrain is not the best around my apartment)
The components have not been a problem so far, I may want to upgrade a few of these, specially the front derailleur.
The total cost for the bike was appx $1,500.00 after shipping, assembly, pedals, and bottle holder.

Bike Setup: All-carbon frame, largely 105 parts. You can get the exact setup on the website rscycle.com.
Summary: Wow is all I have to say. I am far from an expert about bikes and their parts, but I am a very experienced rider. And the Trascinare is all that it was made out to be. A super-light bike with a durable carbon frame. It rides so smoothly as well. Accelerating is easy and hills are much easier to handle than on any other bike I have had. On flat road and on downhill runs the bike flies. When pedaling, I get a nice extension without putting a burden on my knees, which are bothered by mild tendonitis.
I live in the Bronx, so the bike took like ten days to come, which had me on the edge of my seat awaiting delivery. Since I am not that bright when it comes to putting things together, I ordered the probuild and still needed to take it to the bike shop for them to finish it. In all likelihood if you are reading this you are probably better at those things than I am, so putting it together would likely be easier for you. But when I finally rode it, it rode like an absolute DREAM. One problem is that I live in the Bronx and this bike comes with very light and thin racing tires. I got a flat the second day when I went over a rock. I got more durable Armadillos so that is no longer a major concern and the bike is still very smooth and fast. The stock tires were a bit faster..nothing major..but if you are a racer, they are probably the tires for you. If you are commuting or riding recreationally I would go with the Armadillos, which are quite durable and have gotten great reviews wherever I have seen them.
The Shimano 105 shifter has taken getting used to for me, but it is fine for what I need. Good range of gears.
All in all an AWESOME bike for the price...they say that flats on new bikes, even expensive ones, can happen more frequently, so the flat did not bother me much. Takes nothing away from the wonderful quality of a bike with an all- carbon frame at a reasonable price. There is no way you will be disappointed whether you are a road racer or a more recreational rider. I am simply amazed. I always loved to bike ride but with the Trascinare I look forward to it more than ever.
Strengths: Smooth, easy, superfast ride. All-carbon frame. Extremely light. Very comfortable. Handling is also excellent.
Weaknesses: The 105 group shifts a bit noisily at times but it is hardly major and still pretty smooth. The flat tire that I mentioned, but if you take a bike with racing tires and race on roads in the Bronx, then I would think a flat should be expected. Neither of this take away from the magnificent quality of the bike. In fact, one of the guys in the bike shop had never seen this brand of bike and asked how much I paid, if I didn't mind saying. I told him 1,400, and he said "not bad." You could tell he was impressed. When you ride it you will be too.
Similar Products Used: None really, I had an old ten speed bike years ago and then an Iron Horse MT200 mountain bike which was too heavy to go anywhere fast.

Bike Setup: stock accept some uprgrades to Ultegra
Summary: I was nervous when I ordered the bike at the beginning of the summer. I was nervous when the box got to my house. I was nervous after I put the pedals and seat on. The nerves were gone when I was 100 yards down the road.
I did a lot of research and scoured my local bike shops starting last January. I found some good deals but kept coming back to the trascinare. It was so much bike for the price that I felt something had to be amiss. After four months of searching, riding season was upon me and I had to pull the trigger and see if Tommaso was for real.
As I said, I was nervous the whole time until I got on the bike and every bit of my energy seemed to translate into the bike surging forward, up hills, through tthe corners. This thing is a true race machine - the dampening is amazing, the handlin is effortless, the cockpit is the most comfortable I've ever ridden, and take it from me, perhaps the stingiest guy in Colorado, the price is right.
Strengths: Many mentioned above - the component package is solid - I've upgraded since - but the carbon frame is gorgeous and has the pedigree to race at an elite level
Weaknesses: You can only get Tommaso's online - there is currently only distributor for Tommaso in the US and it's an online bike company -rscycle.com (I think). I had no problems with them - they were extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and patient with my 2000 questions, the only hurdle my own reticence to buy a 1300 dollar bike on line - thank god I cleared that hurdle - My next bike will be a Tommaso as well
