Bike Setup: This is all stock can't find a reason to change anything. Just enjoying it!!!
Summary: This bike is great and it doing everything very goo. Actual year is 2009 purchased after finally retiring my specialize mt. bike. Rides Great, I have put about 20 miles a day on it for 2 months without any problems. I haven't had any shifting problems at all, even with a mostly hilly area north of Boston
Strengths: Fast, smooth, light and strong. I'm using a 20" frame size and this is good for speed and turns quickly also. Brakes are also very good. Great Comfy ride.
Weaknesses: Haven't found anything yet. One flat turned out to be a large staple found it's way to my tire(would have done the same on any tire so no weakness)

Summary: 2008 trek 7100.
17.5 inch size.
Bontrager tires need air every ten days to keep them at 80psi.
Accerories are not better than Walmart
top line mountain bike's though the frame is drastically lighter. The shop owner told me the frames are the same on the more expensive bikes and the accesories are what causes the cost to increase.
It does shift well on small hills here in Western Oregon. I suppose I'm being picky. I'm used to buying expensive twenty year old racing bikes and fixing them up for a hobby. The quality "Isn't like it was in dem older days, sonny".

Strengths: Simple, rugged, alot of dealers and parts.
Weaknesses: Looks like a super mountain bike.

Favorite Ride: Kennett Square PA to West Chester, PA
Summary: This bike is extremely fast and has a solid frame. I typically ride 25-30 miles throught rolling country-side with hills. I find the shifting rough and believe it to be truly budget stuff. With the hill where I live, I think I may need to upgrade. That said, if your on flat ground the bike flys and it has a solid frame.
Strengths: Solid frame and fast.
Weaknesses: Shifting is rough and loud and it's obvious the parts are budget.

Summary: I love this bike. I'm a teacher and I rode everyday this summer . (15 -25 miles/day) As I live at the beach it is pretty flat, but the bike trail has a few hills and I can get up one hill that with my old bike I struggled or ended up walking.
Strengths: comfortable seat, comfrotable fit,. As I live at the beach it is pretty flat, but the bike trail has a few hils and I can get up one hill that with my old bike I struggled or ended up walking.
Weaknesses: NOne, again i live in a flat area so shifinting in not a big issue for me.

Favorite Ride: Meandering into town town and back/local neighborhoods
Bike Setup: Bontrager 700X38 invert select tires.
Summary: 2008 trek 7100.
Deceptively fast and stable. Compared to Schwinn road bikes twenty or more years old is just as fast without the twitchyness of steering.
Very solid frame and front forks absorb shock if hit the sidewalk hard from street speed.

Strengths: Very good quality. Am growing out of the fix or repair dailey phase.
Weaknesses: A bit heavy for a aluminum bike though it is built very strong A friend that is a pro lineman sized guy has had one three years and was concerned about his weight"It has held up fine" Also bought it at Scott's.
