Price Paid:  $70.00 at ebay

Favorite Ride:
NYC Century

Bike Setup:
Airborne Carpe diem w/ Veloce group.

Summary:
Expensive tire, but very light. After reading the literature on Tufos I was sold on the concept and the fact that the Tufo cross tires are lighter than a standard tire and tube. Unfortunately, on my 2nd ride I hit a nice rock and got a puncture. The hole was at the limit of the 2mm that Tufo says its slime will repair. It did not repair this one. As other reviewers of Tufo products have written, relying on the sealing gel to fix your tire is not a sure thing. And when that is the case, you are pretty much left with an expensive piece of rubber.

Strengths:
Very light, supple ride.

Weaknesses:
Not easily repaired. One good puncture and you might as well throw it away.

Nokian studded.
