| | Favorite Ride: Tri-City Court Club ride Bike Setup: 99 Schwinn Peloton, mixed group(various Shimano) Summary: Rim strips are nothing to wax philosophical about, unless you've flatted 10 miles from nowhere due to the cheap kind falling apart and pushing the tube into a spoke eyelet(I have never had this happen unless using nylon/plastic OEM strips). The Velox tape has cool, self-adhesive backing for easy installation and when you trim off the excess, cut a few pieces about 1" long and put them with your patch kit, you have just made some excellent tire boots(used when you have a sidewall cut or a whopping big puncture in the tread). All in all, I wouldn't use anything else in my wheels, once installed you can forget about it and enjoy the ride. Strengths: Works well, inexpensive. Weaknesses: None that I have noted. Similar Products Used: OEM plastic or rubber strips, not as good and tacky looking.
