at World Cycling Produc Favorite Ride: Any summertime ride Bike Setup: This is not about my bike. Summary: This dvd was one that I have wanted to see for a long time and I was a little disappointed in the quality. It is as though it was just thrown together at the last minute. I have watched it a couple of times and I will probably watch it many more times but it is definitely not the best road cycling video I have seen. Very short too when you consider the tour is run over three weeks so there is not much time dedicated to each stage. I had to own this video though since it was Lemond's first TdF victory. Strengths: Only video there is on the 1986 tour. Weaknesses: Only video there is on the 1986 tour. Similar Products Used: Plenty of other cycling videos and dvd's.

at It was a gift Favorite Ride: Anything that makes me suffer! Summary: Overall, a great video which shows Greg Lemond's first Tour De France Victory, and the battle he had with his teammate, Bernard Hinualt.
It's great to look back into cycling's (not too distant) past and see the major advances is equipment and racing styles. Strengths: For those who's idol was or is Greg Lemond, it captures his first Tour De France victory. Weaknesses: Was this a "Made for T.V." presentation or what? It features a soundtrack with songs by Billy Ocean and the Eurythmics (it sort of dates the video) and the commentary by Phil Ligget sounds like it was captured from a radio, then recorded onto the tape.
If you can live with this (which really isn't a problem - it's sort of funny in a way), then you should enjoy this video.
