    Strength:

Price ('03 close out); Components; looks; rides like it is on ice skates on smooth roads. I gained 2 1/2 mph over the Marin.

    Weakness:

I had a devil of a time adjusting the rear deraillure (sp?). It would skip gears when shifting and not remain in most gears. The Ibex manual is backwards on this adjustment--Top screw is Hi, bottom screw is Low, not the other way around. After directions from the Park Tools site, it is now tuned up fine. (it took a while!) Because it is an '03 model, my guess is that the cables merely stretched out. I would have rated it a "5" otherwise. I am actually overjoyed with the bike.

Like most others looking for a new bike, I did all the research I could. Living in a rural area it was not feasable to do a lot of test riding, so I took the plunge. I purchased the Corrida soley on the recommendations of others. I admit to quite a bit of apprehension! I was looking for a road bike commuter. I bought a Marin Muirwoods, which is a steel mountain bike with 1 1/2" road tires. It was not exactly what I was looking for. I took it back and ordered the Corrida. I couldn't be happier! I was looking for weaknesses to justify my apprehensions. Hasn't happened. Have received several unsolicited comments on its looks.

Want a really good bike with better-than-average components? This is the bike for you. I've ridden over 1,500 miles on this bike since I purhased it online at the end of August. In that time I've replaced the saddle, the pedals, the rim strips, the tubes and tires, but nothing else. The supplied components are better than the price would suggest: Shimano Tiagra and 105 driveline, Alex 2002 aero rims, Ritchey seat post and handlebars, TruVativ crankset, etc, etc, etc. I like this bike so much, I wish they made the Aprisa with a triple chainring.

    Strength:

Excellent value considering the components, attractive styling, nice ride, sturdy frame. Customer service that you won't believe. I know that if you have a problem with the bike that they will stand behind their product.

    Weakness:

    None so far.

I already have a MTB, but wanted a road bike as well. Due to a hand injury, I needed a flat bar design, but didn't want a Hybrid as that's the same as having two mountain bikes (one with less tread on the tires). Then I discovered IBEX. They were the only company that I found that offered a flat bar ROAD BIKE. I was scepticle about IBEX as they were an online dealer and I had never heard of them before. I read the reviews (99% were excellent) and then compared their bike to other brand names (Specialized, Cannondale, Trek. Devinci). The Corrida by IBEX was $300-500 hundred dollars cheaper then the competitors that had similar components. I was then convinced that the Corrida was an outstanding deal. I decided to take a leap of faith and called the company. Jack, the owner, answered the phone, answered all questions truthfully, and also helped me problem solve for an injured right hand. There is much, much, more to that story, but that's for another time. Now that I have the Corrida, I'm pleased that I went that route!! If I decide my wife deserves one, I may get an IBEX model for her too.

    Strength:

    Great components, great customer service

    Weakness:

    none to speak of

This is the third Ibex in our household. All have lived up to our expectations of quality and useability. I am not too hard on my bikes but I do expect a lot from them and ibex has consisteantly delivered. Friends have bought similar bikes and paid MUCH more. While shopping for road bikes I printed the specks for this and the Classic 4400 and took it to the local bike shops and asked them to make a comparison with something they had available. The bikes were hundreds ($3-500) more expensive and Once I recieved my ibex I think they look much sharper. This is an excellent bike at an incredible price. Price above is Canadian funds and includes shipping and all taxes.

    Strength:

Good component set, good saddle, great ride and great looking.

    Weakness:

None that I can see right now.

Upon discovering this bike, I researched all of the components individually. All were highly rated. The price was so much lower than similar bikes, I was initially skeptical. Jack at IBEX answered all of my questions quickly and with knowledgable answers. I ordered and received the bike as promised, on time and with very little assembly to perform. The customer service from IBEX has been the best I have EVER had in buying any product. And online no less! The bike looks great and rides even better! I look forward to many miles of great riding on this bike. I think the only reason I would get rid of it is to purchase a 2004!

    Strength:

It was very impressed with the customer service when I had a small problem. I got to talk to a "REAL" person on about the 3rd ring with no waiting, both befor and after the sale

    Weakness:

The Alex rims have small burs around the hole for the spoke nipples that can cut through the rubber rim liner-I recommend deburring immediately and replacing with a fabric liner-this a small problem to fix.

It is a great bike for the money-an excellent value. I very happy with it. You can not beat this purchase for the money-I shopped Bike Dealers and online for 3 months before buying. I couldn't decide between the Jamis Coda Comp, the flat bar Cannondale and Raleigh C700-in frustration I gave up and bought the Ibex. I could not be any happier. I may add a supsension seat post and get a set of 700x38s to use in the country for some mixed hard road and gravel road riding.
