Screws onto tire valve
After 800 odd miles without a flat, I was applauding myself for my great ability to avoid getting flats. I immediately got a flat, which exposed the great flaw in my roadside flat preparations-the Lezyne trigger drive. The trigger drive is an L-shaped piece of alloy (beautifully made and finished). One end of the L screws onto your tire valve. Once that is accomplished, you screw the co2 cartridge into the other end. The L is spring loaded, so you can control the flow of co2 into your tire. Unfortunately, if you're like me, you will have only packed one cartridge, and you will have missed a hole in your tube that you will only notice once you start filling it. Since the trigger drive screws onto the valve before you screw the cartridge in, there is no way to remove it from your wheel without taking the cartridge off first. This means (since the cartridge is punctured) that each cartridge is a one shot affair, no second chances even if you didn't use all the co2 on the first try. The moral of this story is that if you are going to carry the trigger drive, carry at least two cartridges, or a cartridge and a mini pump.
