Strength:

Good quality fabric
Chamois pad is comfortable

Weakness:

Construction quality has slipped
Cut too small (plan on ordering the next larger size)

I have five pairs of older Castelli size L Dome bibshorts that have held up extremely well for thousands of miles and dozens of washings each. Although Castelli has kept this style at the price point, the new 09 Dome Due bibshorts have been changed. The product is now made in Mexico, and the quality control is not as good as before. I have seams unraveling after only a few rides. The edges of the chamois pad are unfinished. Also, the sizing has changed. My size L shorts are cut a full size smaller than what I am accustomed to. I have a 33" waist, and, although intended for 34–36" riders, size L is now too small to fit me comfortably.
