This is my 3rd Selle Italia . First one a SLRbroke a Chrome mollly rail after over 20K miles. The second, a Selle Italia gelflo, the stitching came loose and the leather was pealing back after about 10k miles. I bought this from Chain Reaction on clearance. It has TI rails and some carbon fiber in the body, I don't think that saves much weight, but it is a very light saddle . After 4, 3+ hour rides I'm very pleased with it. It has a lot less cushion than the gelflo, but it's just as comfortable if not more.
