Strength:

Rear gear shifter works amazingly well for such low end. Left (front, chain ring) shifter works alright but feels week. Has lasted 1000 miles without maintenanceor issues, so not total crap like the 2300. Shifts much like tiagra.

Weakness:

feels overall week. Plastic gives a cheap feel. Might start breaking down I don't know. The "I don't know" bit ruins any reliability you could think it has. However for the group set the shifters are the highest class part, well comparable to tiagra.

When shifting the left (the chain rings) sometimes when I'm trying to shift all the way up from the small ring base (zero trim) it shifts but gets stuck somewhere between the small ring hi-trim and the big ring lo-trim, thus it rubs a little but it isn't a big problem because1) I can still just squeeze it into the big ring hi-trim (normal trim) and two2) my bike has a different front mech so that might be the cause. That is a rare and unproblematic occurrence.

Looks very tidy. The barrel adjusters are very fragile, so the protruding cables are a huge minus.

I recommend105. This came with a $600 bike which is a large part of the reasonthe bike was so cheap.
