Strength:

Stiff, great finish, solid workmanship. Never failed me.

Weakness:

Weight: Approximately 165g for my 110mm stem.

I was about to drop $250. on this stem when I found it on sale for $125. I had to get it. I mounted it on my 2009 Cannondale CAAD9 road bike and it really stiffened up my cockpit. The difference is very noticeable. Not only that, it's toned down all but the harshest road buzz. I love it. Excellent finish. It's a first rate product. A lot of people don't know this, but it's actually a re-branded Zipp (manufactured "by" Zipp) stem so the quality is there.

Strength:

light and stiff. Looks great

Weakness:

faceplate valnurable to corrosion

this nickel finish pills of due to corrosion. Does not effect the overall performance but kinda bizzare for a product that costs that much. Bontrager guys need to come up with a solution to that.

Strength:

Nice finish, vibration dampening, very light

Weakness:

Questionable durability with regards to the finish and screws. MSRP is $250 which is kind of high for something that shows signs of wear after a summer of riding.

The stem has a beautiful finish. However I was surprized to see corrosion on the stem and screws after using for a summer. Sure, sweat can be very corrosive but for an expensive high-end part, you would think that Bontrager would have overcome this sort of thing.

Consider this... stainless steel boat props can spend long periods in salt water and still maintain a high lustre and no signs of corrosion. So there really is no excuse for the screws corroding.
