#03050 As a direct descendent of Dura-Ace, no other road component group provides the same cost-performance value as Shimano 105. The 8-spline interface between the BB and crank arm forms a strong highly rigid connection that reduces ...
Okay, I had this on my cyclocross bike, so it did have a rough life. I went through 2 of these in about 5 months because the bearing kept blowing up. I switched the cranks and BB over to Campy and have no more problems.

Strength:
Easy to change cartridge
Weakness:
plastic seal could be more functional.
Bike came stock with 105 components and bottom bracket. After 2500 kms (1600 miles) bottom bracket bearings were clicking when ascending or riding hard.
I was only out in the rain once or twice, but I guess that was enough.

I have last years model with the square tapered spindle(un-72) that I'm running ultegra cranks on (right before they used splines). I have not had any problems with it on my road bike or on my mountain bike in about 3 years of use.

Strength:
None, it held up for about a year before giving up the ghost. It came stock on my mountain bike. Go figure
Weakness:
After about 9 months of use, it began to creak. It progressively got worse until last weekend, when I pulled it out and felt the bearings. They were shot. BB's should last at least two years. I went out and purchased an XT BB to replace it. I didn't have the duckets for an XTR. It came stock on my cannondale Mountain Bike. It would have held up better had it come on my Road Bike I'm Guessing. Just another example of Cannondale cutting corners.
Spend the extra 10 bucks and get a decent, durable Bb.

Strength:
Cheap, smooth, durable, good quality
Weakness:
Heavier than Dura-Ace
I installed this for my brother on his bike, and it truly is a high quality bottom bracket at a great price. Just as smooth as dura-ace/ultegra, just a bit heavy but that's not even noticeable.
