Strength:

light

Weakness:

not reliable

I have the 1070 chain with 1090 cassette. from Day one, I had nothing but issues.
1. cassette kept coming loose, had to replace inner washer
2. one of the links of the chain broke
3. chain stretch with less then 200 km riding.

also, the shifting was never as smooth as Shimano, Sram shifting is clunky and not precise and clean as Shimano.

Strength:

reliability, durability, smooth shifting, easy to change. A little on the pricey side at retail.

Weakness:

none

Chain came on new bike. Performed well for me to about 4000+ miles when it started to jump off big ring in lowest cog. I continued to run the chain after race season when it was really due for a change. Has been totally reliable and durable. Easy to change.

Strength:

It says SRAM on the box.

Weakness:

Several of its links.

Garbage, and pricey too. I used this product on my cyclocross bike for 4 weeks/1000 miles and it broke twice. Need I say more? I've ordered a low end chain to replace it for the off season.

Strength:

Shifts well. Easy installation.

Weakness:

A bit pricey. Not easy to find locally.

Rider weght: 215. At 1200 miles this chain appears to be superior to the Wipperman it replaced.

Strength:

Very easy to install w/ PowerLink master. Shifts super smooth.

Weakness:

None to date. Expect this thing to be good for 3000 or so miles...

After 2800 miles on the road, my stock Shimano chain was getting a little stretched out according to my Park Tools gauge. Decided to go with the SRAM 1070 due to overall good SRAM chain reviews. Could have went w/ the SRAM 1090, but why spend more bucks for chain plates cut like Swiss cheese? Well I unceremoniously cut the old chain off and installed the 1070 w/ SRAM PowerLink (P_Link design seems very rugged and practical). With 200 miles on the new chain it is working perfectly. The old Shimano chain the shifting was silky smooth; after installing the new SRAM shifting is silky smooth X2.
