Strength:

Significantly lighter and stiffer than standard Record. No flex when climbing.

Weakness:

None. Scratches, bogus arguement, are not a problem. Treat your bike better.

I have 2000 miles on these cranks and love every minute I spend climbing. They are the perfect match to the 5900, light and strong. At 6'3" 190 pounds I've put them to the test and they have never let me down.

Nothing. Regular Record Crankset can't even compete.

INCREDIBLE stiffness! Light weight, very cool looks (they match my bike!), and crisply-shifting chainrings.

Weakness:

Most would say price, but i got these for under 300 bucks, and come on, you get what you pay for. These cranks were well worth the cash.c

Got the new FSA crankset 2 days ago, and got it installed the same day. Went for my first ride on it today, up the biggest hill around (then down the other side, and back up and over in reverse). Kancamagus Pass, for those that don't know, is 8 miles long and 2,000+ feet high on the west side. And boy, let me tell you, I was impressed with these cranks! My old cranks, Ultegras, were pretty stiff, but the FSA's take stiffness to an entirely new level! I couldn't even see the front chainrings wiggling at all, and I attribute that all to the new cranks. Every pedal stroke felt like it was just slingshotting me up the hill. An amazig feeling. Not to mention the fact that they're around 100 grams lighter than the old ones!

Stiff,light, carbon look

Weakness:

none yet

The stiffest crank I could find, and with the look you only get from carbon fiber.I switched from D/A looking for something even stiffer for my size( 210 lb. masher) and these appear to do the job.

Great alternative to standard metal cranks. I noticed the difference in acceleration and response on the first ride.

Weakness:

The cranks are being delivered now with gaudy red decals. I could have lived with the understated look of previous versions.

Light, stiff and superbly made

These are everything you could ever want. Stiff, lite, and eye catching. I love em and would put on all my bikes if I could afford to.

They're carbon, end of story.

Weakness:

They will knick easily if you hit them either when riding or carrying it.

After riding and racing the FSA Carbon MTB cranks, I realized that I had to have them on the road bike. Super stiff and light as well as beautiful.

Looks and delicate finish. They ride well - like they ought to, the price taken in concern.

Weakness:

Finish, again: I have bad dreams about a loose chain wrecking this crankset. - I know it'll happen some day but what can I do, I'm a carbon freak.

Cool Carbon looks, otherwise a crankset which do the job like most other cranksets do ...

Stiff, attractive, definite upgrade from Campy Record

Weakness:

Finish is delicate, chips easily

Replaced Campy 10sp record cranks with these. Very happy with the results. Pedals feel more solid and more immediate response especially from non-drive side. Isis drive interface is definite improvement over older taper style.

my bike is now lighter, and so is my teacher's wallet...like I needed that to happen.

I purchased these cranks after having installed a few sets at a shop I used to work at. I was very impressed with the quality of the product. The people I knew who were using the cranks were raving about the stiffness and efficiency, so I decided to give them a try. I have been riding them for a few weeks now and wow...that is all I have to say. They are stiff, efficient, and light. Not only is my Cannondale 1/2 pound lighter with these cranks, but when I am hammering up hills or sprinting, I don't ever hear the chain rubbing on the front derailleur cage. I attribute this directly to the stiffness of the carbon spider. I am impressed.

Strength:

They sure look nice in the box.

Weakness:

Apparently FSA released a batch of defective cranks that supposedly have an standard ISO bottom bracket taper. Unfortunately, the hole is too small or the taper too severe to allow them to be mounted to any bottom bracket even built. According to FSA (who doesn't know how these cranks made it into the market), these came from "Europe" and should never have been sold. Well, sucker that I am, I bought a pair on eBay and now have a completely useless pair of cranks that look very nice.

BE CAREFUL
